Alamo Lake State Park Alamo Lake is a beautiful example of how diverse the landscape can be. A little off the beaten path, visitors arrive to a great place for numerous recreational activities, including boating and fishing right in view of beautiful geologically diverse desert mountains. Opened and dedicated in 1969.

Catalina State Park Located in the , uses the breathtaking view of the to its advantage for amazing hikes and perfect camping opportunities. Opened and dedicated in 1983.

Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial State Park Granite Mountain Memorial includes a 3.5 mile hike to the site where the memorial sits as a tribute to the brave men that lost their lives in the Yarnell Hill fire in 2013. Opened and dedicated in 2016.

Jerome State Historic Park Jerome State Historic Park is the fifth park opened by Arizona State Parks. The building was once the Douglas family home, but now stands as the “Douglas Memorial Mining Museum”. Visitors get a glimpse into the mining world as it was when Jerome was a bustling mining town. Opened and dedicated in 1965.

Kartchner Caverns State Park Located in the seemingly unremarkable hills of the Whetstones is the hidden treasure of Kartchner Caverns, one of the best preserved living cave systems in the world. Opened and dedicated in 1999.

Lake Havasu State Park ’s natural scenery and vast recreational opportunities bring thousands of recreationalists every year. Whether it’s hiking, camping, boating, fishing, or just sitting on the beach watching the sunset, this park has loads to offer. Acquired in 1965.

Lost Dutchman State Park Lost Dutchman is located in the area known locally as the Superstitions. The beautiful scenery brings visitors from all over for hiking and camping, as well as the enticing prospect of finding the legendary Lost Dutchman gold mine. Opened and dedicated in 1977.

Oracle State Park Oracle was originally the Kannally family ranch. Lucille Kannally willed the property away stipulating that from now on the property serve as a wildlife preserve. Opened and dedicated in 2001.

Patagonia Lake State Park Patagonia is a favorite among locals in the south eastern parts of Arizona. As visitors go over the hills into the park, it feels like entering an oasis. Opened and dedicated 1975.

Picacho Peak State Park Picacho Peak is easily recognized with its distinct shape from Interstate 10. The peak was used as a land marker, and is also where the largest American Civil War battle in Arizona occurred. Opened and dedicated in 1968.

Slide Rock State Park Slide Rock has been a popular scene for family get-togethers for years. The uniquely smooth rock formed by the rushing water and the surrounding beauty make this spot an ideal location for those looking to cool off in the hot summer sun. Opened and dedicated in 1987.

Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park The Tombstone Courthouse was Arizona State Parks’ first operational state park. With it being one of the first sites in Tombstone to be designated as a historical site, this museum holds most of the original artifacts from the areas surrounding this historic town. Opened and dedicated in 1959.

Tonto Natural Bridge State Park is located almost dead center of the state of Arizona, in . Taking the short hikes means immersing oneself into some of the most gorgeous natural wonders Arizona has to offer. Opened and dedicated in 1991.
