© TLA Worldwide 2020 TLAWorldwide.com BIO Stanlake was born in Hervey Bay, Queensland and spent the first six years of his life on the Fraser Coast. There, he and his brother played Australian rules football for the Hervey Bay Bombers, encouraged to do so by their father Warren, who played for the Footscray Football Club in the VFL. The family then relocated to the Gold Coast, where Billy began playing cricket for Southport-Labrador and attended The Southport School. Coming from a strong sporting family, Billy’s brother Jack was formerly contracted by the Gold Coast Football Club.

After a successful youth career with Queensland and Australia, Stanlake was awarded a rookie contract with Queensland in 2014-15. Due to stress fractures in his back he missed the entire season and had to wait until 2015-16 to make his debut. Stanlake’s Domestic One Day debut came in 2015 Matador BBQ’s Cup where he performed strongly against South Australia taking 3/43 as well as Western Australia taking 4/37. In November 2015 he made his First Class debut against South Australia where he took 4/63 in the second innings to help bowl Queensland to victory. Following another stress fracture early in the 2016-17 season, Stanlake had an impressive Big Bash for the Adelaide Strikers and was selected to play for Australia in ODI cricket in January 2017 against Pakistan. Later in February he also made his T20 International debut for Australia against Sri Lanka at the MCG. In early 2018 Stanlake had his best performance in International cricket, taking 3/15 in a T20 against New Zealand at the SCG and was named player of the match. Stanlake has also tasted the fruits of the IPL being selected by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2017 and for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018- 2020.
