Hockey Aigles Bleues facing must-win

The second game of the best-of-three Subway Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey semifinal series between the St. Thomas Tommies and the Université de Aigles Bleues will be played tonight at 7 p.m. at the Grant-Harvey

Centre in Fredericton.

The Tommies lead the series 1-0 after edging the Aigles Bleues 4-3 on Thursday night in Moncton.

“We did revise our game plan following that game and we adjusted our Friday practice,”said UdeM head coach Denis Ross.

Émilie Bouchard will be the for the Aigles Bleues.

If a third game is necessary, it will be on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at the J.-

Louis-Lévesque Arena.

UdeM goalie heads to ECHL’s Thunder

Departing Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus goaltender Adrien Lemay has signed a contract with the of the ECHL.

Lemay, a 26-year-old who was born in Moncton and grew up in Quebec City, has played the past four seasons with the Aigles Bleus in the Atlantic University

Sport men’s hockey conference.

Lemay posted an 8-8 record with a 3.33 goals-against average and .908 save percentage in 17 regular-season games for Moncton this year.

After playing two seasons with the Lewiston Maineiacs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Lemay turned to the professional ranks. He split one season between the Texas Stars in the , in the ECHL and and in the , before leaving for UdeM.
