The current owners, with the assistance of a full time gamekeeper, run an established sydicated shoot on the land. Although much of the land is let, sporting rights are in hand over the whole farm and game covers are planted in strategic positions to provide a challenging shoot which the current owners have enjoyed for over 20 years. The shoot provides 11 days sport a year with numbers averaging 150 birds per day. A limited area of land is rented in from two neighbouring landowners to provide additional drives however these parcels are not a necessity for running the shoot. The game keeper has been employed at Rockstead for 10 years, and has over 30 years experience at other well known shoots in Hampshire and Dorset, and as the second generation of his family to work at Rockstead, knows the farm and the shoot extremely well. He currently lives in the Annexe of the farmhouse on a service occupancy.
