The largest numbers of trade visitors came from India and Far Eastern countries, such as the United Arab Emirates, India’s neighbouring countries, and elsewhere in Asia.

They encountered a wide range of food, beverages and services extending from staple foods and preserves to fresh and frozen products, bread and baked goods, drinks and dairy produce. Almost 70 per cent of the suppliers came from outside India. The largest foreign contingent was the German delegation of 22 companies, most of which exhibited at the joint stand of the German Agricultural Marketing Board (CMA).

Other large groups from abroad came from (17 companies), Spain (13), (11) and Korea (11). The national pavilions of Germany, Korea, , Taiwan and Thailand attracted a great deal of interest. The event occupied a gross exhibition space of 5,300 m².

Annapoorna – World of Food India also featured a well-attended trade-specific supporting programme that addressed issues such as food safety.

The next Annapoorna – World of Food India takes place in Mumbai from 19th. to 21st. November 2007.
