LEIV SVENNING Head of CEE, Telenor Satellite Broadcasting AS, has served as MD of Telenor Bulgaria and Head of TSBc in Central and Eastern Europe since 2006. Svenning joined Telenor in 1969 and has held a number of positions within the group. He has gained much experience in the international arena where he held senior positions in Sweden and Ireland. He has also served on the board of Pannon, ESat, Digifone, Kievstar and Telenor Sweden AS. Leiv completed his studies at the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1976.

PETR HORAK is Head of Voyo, CME. He began his career as a strategic analyst for Czech Telecom (later Telefonica O2) before becoming director of business development in the internet division. He spent some time at Vodafone in the Czech Republic as Marketing Manager before accepting the position at CME as the Business Development Manager where his role included conceptualization of new thematic channels and successful imple- mentation of the channels across CME’s six regions. Petr later became the Head of Voyo where he took responsibility for launching the subscription Video on Demand service across CME’s six regions within a period of just two months. He currently oversees the programming , marketing, technical and operational strategy for the service.

DRAGICA PILIPOVIC CHAFFEY is CEO of Serbia Broadband (SBB). The company is jointly owned by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBDR) and MidEuropa, a London based European investment fund. SBB is the leading provider of broadband internet as well as analogue and digital TV, currently present in 28 cities throughout Serbia and through its satellite platform, Total TV in six countries across South East Europe. Between May 2008 to Q2 2009 Dragica also served as chairman of the board of SBB. Dragica holds an MBA in business and finance, George Washington University, Washington DC (1981) and a BA in Economy, University of Belgrade (1970).

GABRIJELA MILINKOVIC is Content Manager AV, Samsung Electronics Adriatic Belgrade Branch. Before joining Samsung in January 2011, Gabrijela lived in the United States for ten years, including a spell working at the US cablenet Comcast. Gabrijela is married with two children. [speakers]

STEFAN DAKOVSKI is Vice President, Distribution and Sales, at HBO Europe; in his current role he oversees the company's sales operations in Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia, the Adria territories and Bulgaria. Stefan has been with HBO since 2002, ini- tially with HBO Bulgaria, progressing to Head of Operations for the Adria region and Bulgaria, and was appointed to his current position in August 2011. Prior to joining HBO, he worked for more than six years in theatrical distribution and home video at the Alexandra Group, the biggest movie distributor in Bulgaria. Stefan is based at the HBO Europe office in Budapest; he is married and has two children.

CHRIS DZIADUL is a leading writer on Central and East European broadcasting. A graduate of the University of Westminster’s Faculty of Communication, he has specialised in the subject since the late 1980s. Aside from editing some of the most highly regarded annual publications in the broadcast industry, he has contributed regularly to a number of titles and launched TV East Europe, the first ever publication dedicated solely to develop- ments in Central and East Europe’s television industry. Chris is currently an Editorial Director and Chief East European analyst at Broadband TV News. Besides editing Broadband TV News: Central & East Europe, he has written market reports on Poland, the Czech Republic/Slovakia and Russia, as well as the DTT and cable sectors in CEE.

JULIAN CLOVER is a Media and Technology journalist based in Cambridge. He has two decades of combined experience in online and printed media. Julian is also a voice on local radio. He is the editor of Broadband TV News, the online newsletter, covering the business of multiscreen television. An accomplished conference moderator, Julian is a reg- ular chairman at Anga Cable in Cologne and the Broadband TV News Business Breakfasts. Television appearances include the BBC’s technology magazine Click and the consumer programme Watchdog. On radio Julian presents the Sunday Breakfast show on Cambridge 105. Julian has also contributed to the Daily Mirror, The Guardian, The Channel (the mag- azine of The Association for International Broadcasting) and What Satellite TV.
