09AM: Arrival at Montevideo. (1) 01PM: tour. (Cerro (2), Rambla, Carrasco, Ciudad Vieja (3), Centro, Teatro Solís). 10PM: Pre drinks in the hostel. (Optional activity). 12PM: Party in a club in the city. (Optional activity)

(1) MONTEVIDEO: Is the capital and most populated city of the Oriental Republic of , with 1,947,604 Inhabitants in its metropolitan area.

(2) CERRO: Situated adjacent to the bay of Montevideo. With 132 meters of altitude, it was a strategic point to protect the port during the colonization of the . In the fortress of General Artigas, the lighthouse of the Cerro de Montevideo is found, situated in an altitude of 148 meters, it allows the entrance to the port to be safer. Activity included in the final price.

(3) OLD TOWN: This is the main part of Montevideo. In fact, it is also a district itself. It has numerous businesses, It houses numerous companies, ministries and state offices, banks, museums, art galleries and cultural centers, as well as restaurants, clubs, and bars. It retains one of the most emblematic parts of the city, the Citadel Gate, which still stands. It is the emblem of old fortified Montevideo and was built after 1742. (1) PUNTA DEL ESTE: It is known as the Saint-Tropez of Uruguay thanks to its beautiful beaches, its sophisticated tourist buildings and its ostentatious parties. The Las Vegas-style “Conrad Casino”, gives even more life to local entertainment. Activity included

(2) CASA PUEBLO: It is a building constructed by the Uruguayan artist Carlos Páez Vilaró located in Punta Ballena, 13 km from Punta del Este, Uruguay. It was originally a summer house and workshop of the artist, inside includes a museum, an art gallery, a cafeteria and a hotel. The creator use to live and work their permanently, and spent his last days there before passing away. Entry: U$D 10 (10 dolars). Entry not included on the final price.

(3) PUNTA BALLENA: Punta Ballena or Punta de la Ballena is a geographical landform located in the department of Maldonado (Uruguay). From there you can see the dividing line between the Ocean and the Rio de la Plata. Activity included.

Sunday 26th May

10AM: Check out of hostel. Journey to Colonia de Sacramento (1). 01PM: Lunch in Colonia. 02AM: City Tour of the Casco Histórico from Colonia. (2) 07PM: Return to Buenos Aires.

(1) COLONIA DE SACRAMENTO: In the enchanting city of Colonia del Sacramento, Spain and fought over its sovereignty due to its strategic position and functionality as a port for smuggled goods. This can really be seen in the city. The city’s historical neighborhood, declared a Heritage Site in 1995, houses the vast majority of the sites to see and will undoubtedly surprise you. Activity included.

(2) CASCO HISTÓRICO: The “Casco histórico” of Colonia was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1995. Its architecture is a fusion of Spanish, Portuguese and post-colonial architectural styles. The singular preservation of the surroundings has facilitated the use of its streets as backdrops for films set at the time. Activity included.
