Attracting a lot of attention in Stittsville this Christmas season is a replication of the 1989 American comedy film “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” starring Chevy Chase which has become a Christmas classic. The display includes lots of Christmas lights on the house similar to the Griswold house in the movie, a station wagon (left) with a Christmas tree complete with roots on its roof, and a camper in the driveway (right) with a cutout of cousin Eddie from the movie. The Shawn Turcotte family at 18 Cypress Gardens has developed this scene at their home to pay homage to the movie while raising funds for the Stittsville Food Bank, urging donations via a sign (centre, front) with a QR code on it for scanning.
