WE REMEMBER IN OUR PRAYERS Cath McVeigh whose Funeral was last week, Patsy Bell of Redcar Avenue, whose Funeral Mass is at St John Southworth on Monday, 26 February at 1 pm, Peter Menyon whose Funeral Service is at Carleton Crematorium, 2 pm on 6 March, and Myra Deacon Taylor whose Funeral Mass is at St Teresa’s on Monday, 12 March at 10 am. We remember them and their families, and all those whose anniversaries are at this time. May they rest in God’s peace.

THE SVP (the St Vincent de Paul Society), are very grateful for the £199.50 which was collected last weekend for those who are in need locally.

CAFOD A big ‘Thank You’ too to all those who are returning the Family Fast Day envelopes this weekend. Please remember that if you are giving up something for Lent, and putting the money to one side, then donations can always be place in an envelope for CAFOD at Easter.

THIS SUNDAY, and each Sunday of Lent, we have Stations of the Cross with Benediction at 3 pm at St Teresa’s.

WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER: The Church Service in our area for this year’s Women’s World Day of Prayer is being held at Cleveleys Baptist Church on St George’s Avenue, on Friday, 2 March at 2 pm. All are very welcome.

THERE IS A DAY OF RECOLLECTION on Saturday, 3 March, from 10 am at St John Vianney’s Parish Centre, Glastonbury Avenue, Blackpool. The theme of the Day is “The Blessed Sacrament and the Eucharistic Congress”, and is led by Fr Raphael. Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon. Please take a packed lunch – drinks are provided.
