Introduction
In 2012 Bis is opening a science fair where each student proposes a nonprofit organization for the BIS board of directors to consider sponsoring. Along with a nonprofit organization each student had to research the country thoroughly.
Some areas that were researched are, The area, The economy, the way the political system works, The laws of the land and laws dealing with trading, the population sise , the diet of the average person, where everyone lived, how the people got around, how well the people are educated, what was the clothing worn, what was done for fun, the language spoken, the major religions spoken. There was no stone unturned in our research and investigation for the perfect nonprofit organization.
Geographical Area Analysis
The country of Vietnam is one of the most beautiful, and diverse countries in the world. Also it is one of the countries filled with the most poverty. This country can lead to great opportunities , because of the poverty there is room for improvement and making a profit. Also because of the positioning it is an ideal place to start a business.
In the country of Vietnam is located at the southern end of Asia. It is almost impossible to get sick of the scenery. The reason It is almost impossible to get sick of the scenery is because it is so diverse. The reason it is so diverse is because it’s not very thick, but it is very long being roughly 4184 miles long. The northern part of Vietnam tends to be colder and has more mountains. The southern part of Vietnam is a lusher and tropical area that produces lots of rice.

Vietnam is the perfect place to make a business, because it has such a huge coastline, and that would be ideal for moving products in and out of the country One of the cons to having a business in Vietnam is its annual monsoons that come two times a year. Also the transportation is not so good because of the poor quality of the roads.
In Vietnam To the far north it is very mountainous, to the north, and south it is flat, and in the middle it has many hills. What Vietnam primarily exports is cashews, rice, rubber, tea, cotton, pepper, soybeans and a fair amount of coal. The abundance of these resources would make this country a prime place to set up a business.
Vietnam would be a prime place to set up a business, because it is beautiful it contains all the resources necessary, and the location of the country is perfect.

The Socialist Republic of Vietnam Is controlled by the Communist party. Although it is communist it is not as harsh as China or Korea where if you so much as comment on the government you are thrown in jail. In the past the government of Vietnam controlled all business, but that was not working because Vietnam just got done resisting the U.S and the French. It got so bad that at one point Vietnam was relying 100% on the Soviet Union, but then the Soviet Union got too poor to help. So the government enacted Doi Moi (reform) which basically allowed private business. And this helped the economy greatly.

Political System
The Political system of Vietnam is like China where ultimate power is with the prime minister. Also It is illegal to have any political parties other than the Communist party of Vietnam.
Socialist Republic
Branches of Government The Prime minister is the head of the government and controls everything. The President is the head of the executive branch . The Legislative branch is controlled by the National Assembly of Vietnam.
Political Parties The only “leagal” party is Communist Party of Vietnam. Naturally there are other ones. The Vietnam populas party is similar to the Democratic Party in America. The People's Action Party of Vietnam is like the Republican Party they are agenst communism.
Nguyễn Tấn Dũng Is the prime minister and the most powerful individual. Trương Tấn Sang is the President of the Socialist Republic. General Phùng Quang Thanh is the Minister of Defense. Nguyễn Sinh Hùng is the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Secretary of the National Assembly Party Caucus.
Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has served since 2005 there has been no war or conflict since the war of Vietnam.

Food
The food in Vietnam is very different in different places. In The north the Chinese have influenced the type of food which tends to be noodles and chop sticks. Where in the south the French have influenced the type of style of the food. The climate also decides the type of food made. In the north Broth vegetables and fish is often common. The food is also generally either sturfryed or stewed. In the south the climate is nicer so they eat fruits vegetables.

Transportation
In Vietnam hardly anyone owns a car. The majority of the people drive motorbikes, bikes, ride b us’s or walk. An interesting fact is that in vietnam people also drive on the right side of the road and will drive/ do anything to get their produce to their destination.

Looking at the above graph you can see that Vietnam has a lot of paved roads vs unpaved roads. In comparison there are a lot more water ways than rail ways this could allow us to ship in goods and resources. But would limit our ability to move the resources inland, because of the lack of rail ways. Looking at the ship’s vs air ports most of the goods will have to be shipped in because of the.

In Vietnam the process to get a job is almost exact to the process to get a job in America. The first step is to find a business you know is hiring. Then you have good curriculum vitae, cover page, and resume. The second is have job experience. The minimum age to work is 15. You are required to show respect to your superiors, and anyone older than you. An employee does not

All workers are getat least 12 days of fully paid vacation leave each year and one day off each week. Also, there are five official holidays in the year which amount to an additional eight days’ vacation
The types of jobs in vietnam are similar to jobs in America. Like store keepers, doctors, construction works, photographers, so basically any job in America there is a similar job in vietnam.
The typical workday of a average vietnam citizen is 8hours a day. The workers get a one hour lunch break. There are five official holidays a year. Some typical rituals are when you meet someone you exchange business cards with both hands.

Having a nonprofit organization is not all about work there must be something fun to do even the boss needs a day off to chill and relax. In Vietnam there are many things that are fun. Some of the things are Sports, Dining in exotic and unexpected places.

In Vietnam by far the most popular sport would be soccer. But the most interesting sport in Vietnam would be the martial arts. There are many forms of martial arts shown in Vietnam. Such as Judo, Karate and Taekwondo.
In Vietnam you will find no other more diverse combination of food in the world. These can be found in the many stalls that are found everywhere in Hanoi.
In conclusion there are many recreational activities in Vietnam that can be enjoyed.
