VALENTINES 100 HEARTS CHECKIN CHALLENGE - We challenged ourselves to obtain 100 checkins during our net, very good net.

WORLD AMATEUR RADIO DAY ON APRIL 18TH - This was our 2nd annual event, this year we did a 10 hr net with 5 different net controllers, we received over 310 checkins, 158 request, 33 international checkins, 13 different countries, was the LARGEST NET ever on ECHOLINK...Great success!!!!

MOTHERS DAY NET - May 15, 2016 - Hosted by N7HVN - Cathy put on a great net for Mother's day with a lot of mothers day info.

FATHERS DAY NET - June 19,2016 - Hosted by W2JLD - John put on a great net for Father's day with a lot of Father's day Trivia.

1ST ANNUAL HEDY LAMARR DAY - November 9,2016 at 9am pst/12 noon - Please join us in celebrating the technical accomplishments of a very talented yl, whom without her inventions, we would not have Wi- Fi or Bluetooth or gps. We will have the DODROPIN, STARLINK, WORLD, UK HUB, FRIENDS. We will have a couple of yl's to be net controllers. So be sure to put that day aside and join us. -94 checkins,34 qsl request.

"TURKEY FOR A HAM" THANKSGIVING NET - Monday November 14,2016 at 5pm pst/8pm est- during the World Friendship Net with KM4OOC. Everyone who checks in that night will have their placed in the drawing. This year we decided to give away a $25 Wal- Mart gift card,. and his xyl Sandy will draw one winner. We encourage the winner to give the card to a needy family in their community if they don't need it for themselves - AA7WB - Perri - Las Vegas

SANTA'S COMING TO TOWN NET - December 24, 2016 at 9am pst/12 noon est on THE WORLD RADIO NETWORK, we will be doing our first Annual Santa Net, VK4LAC-Colin will be doing the Santa this year from Australia, W2JLD will co-host the net. Third party checkins are very welcome. So get the youngsters ready to have a qso with Santa Claus. Kids Day - Saturday, 1pm EST/January 7 & Sunday, June 18 - Twice a year, ARRL offers an event designed to promote Amateur Radio to our youth. Share the excitement with your kids or grandkids, a Scout troop, a church or the general public! Kids Day is designed to give on-the-air experience to young people and hopefully foster interest in getting a license of their own. It is also intended to give older hams a chance to share their station and love for Amateur Radio with their children. Kids Day always runs from 1800 TC through 2359 UTC/1PM EST. Operate as much or as little as you like.

WORLD AMATEUR RADIO DAY ON APRIL 18TH 2017 - This was our 3rd annual event, this year we did a 12 hr and 15 mins net with 6 different net controllers, we received over 426 checkins, 125 qsl card request, 56 international checkins, 14 different countries, it was the LARGEST NET ever on ECHOLINK for the 2nd straight year...Great success!!!!

We could not have pulled off such a great event if not for the people whom checked into the net. Of course we want to thank All the special event net controllers whom gave their time to participate in this event. And we want to thank ALL the system administrators and sysops whom helped out greatly with all the behind the scenes hard work.
