Buffalo Sabres Daily Press Clips November 1, 2016 New York judge to dismiss charges against Sabres' Kane Associated Press November 1, 2016 BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A judge will dismiss the charges against Buffalo Sabres forward Evander Kane stemming from scuffles with women in a bar if he stays out of future trouble. The arrangement is contingent on the 25-year-old player avoiding legal issues for the next six months. Kane didn't speak during or after his brief appearance in a Buffalo court. Kane's lawyer says Monday's action doesn't include an admission of guilt, and Kane still denies the allegations. Kane was arrested in July, a month after allegedly grabbing three women by the hair and neck in separate encounters on the same night in a downtown Buffalo bar. Kane was removed from the club by bouncers. He was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, trespass and noncriminal harassment. Sabres prep for challenge of a busy November By Mike Harrington The Buffalo News October 31, 2016 ST. PAUL, Minn -- The Buffalo Sabres did something here Monday that won't be repeated much for most of November: They practiced. In stages this season, teams around the NHL are not going to get a lot of time to retool and the Sabres are entering one such period now. Starting with Tuesday's game against the Minnesota Wild in Xcel Energy Center, Buffalo has seven games in the first 12 days of November and 14 games overall this month. From now to Thanksgiving, there is just one time when the Sabres have more than two days in a row off.

Swayman was also named to the CCM/AHCA All-American First Team and was a Hobey Hat Trick Finalist. Swayman is the fourth player in Hockey East history to collect the award in its seven-year history. Earlier this year, Swayman was named the 2019-20 Hockey East Player of the Year, the first Maine goaltender to win Hockey East’s top individual honor and the first Black Bear to be so named since Spencer Abbot in 2011-12. During the Hockey East regular season, Swayman led the league in saves (782), save percentage (.932) and tied for the lead in shut outs (3) while his 12 wins in Hockey East tied for second. Buffalo Sabres Daily Press Clips March 1, 2019 Rasmus Dahlin learning to absorb big hits, make little plays for Sabres By Lance Lysowski The Buffalo News February 28, 2019 The preseason game was so long ago that Rasmus Dahlin cannot recall the opponent or the result, but the stern message delivered by teammates in the Buffalo Sabres' dressing room has resonated with him ever since. "I was upset," the 18-year-old rookie defenseman recalled. "I didn't play well and wanted to make the team. They said, 'Hey, you can't do this after every game.' " Not a practice or game has passed without a teachable moment for Dahlin, the NHL's top overall draft pick last June. During Thursday's practice in Harborcenter, both Jack Eichel and coach Phil Housley pulled him aside to offer advice. Dahlin's first season has taught him the value of a short memory, the importance of taking care of his body to withstand the grueling North American game and how to balance his fierce competitiveness with the need to make a simple play. There is still much for him to learn. That fact is powerfully illustrated even on the nights when his transcendent talent tantalizes and awes. Yet, through all the Sabres' struggles — they could be nine points back of the second wild-card when they host Pittsburgh Friday night — Dahlin's progress has not stalled. "I’m so happy," he beamed following practice Thursday. "I wouldn’t have expected this kind of season. So far it’s good, but we have to get some wins back and get back on track.
