Kitchen Paraphernalia Sale - come along and buy a selection of upcycled kitchen equipment. The proceeds will be donated to Clinks Farm near Beccles – a social enterprise combining the care of the land with the care of people, offering opportunities for disadvantaged people to help out on the farm.

Supporting Businesses in the Waveney Valley If you enjoy local food & drink, here are some great reasons why it helps you and the local economy of the Waveney Valley.

Money spent with local businesses stays in our community longer, offering employment for local people and buying other local skills and services.

Reducing food miles - the distance from origin to customer - means less fuel is being used and less greenhouse gas emissions to transport your food from its producer to you.

Local food doesn’t need the addition of chemicals to keep it fresh during transportation and because it gets to you quicker it’s still got far more of its nutrients and minerals, its taste and goodness.

Local food direct from the producer offers an education in waste with less packaging and local food doesn’t get turned away by distribution centres for being the wrong shape, size or colour.

Our beautiful countryside here in the Waveney Valley attracts many tourists every year – and it’s our farmers who keep it looking that way.

Buying local keeps us in touch with our Waveney Valley heritage and celebrates the changing of the seasons.

You know just what you’re buying and what’s in it – and at farmers’ markets you can talk to the producers themselves.

You will get to know the Waveney Valley so much better by visiting our farm shops and farmers’ markets, or going to Pick Your Own farms – they’re great days out.

There’s such a huge range of choice and variety – as you’ll discover during the Waveney Valley Food & Drink Festival.

You’ll feel you’re doing your bit to help – and you’ll be enjoying fantastic, tasty food into the bargain!

The Waveney Valley Food & Drink Festival is proud to be part of the county-wide Norfolk Food & Drink Festival which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and takes place from the 31st August to 12th October 2014. www.nfdf.co.uk
