RELEASE OF 2011 PSLE RESULTS AND 2011 SECONDARY ONE POSTING EXERCISE

1. The results of the 2011 Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) will be released on Thursday, 24 November 2011. Pupils may obtain their result slips from their respective schools from 12.00 noon on 24 November 2011.

2. On the same day, eligible pupils will also receive from their respective primary schools, their option forms to select secondary schools. Pupils are required to hand the option forms to their parents.

Submission of Secondary One Option Form

3. In every sealed Secondary One (S1) Option Form, there will be a unique S1 Personal Identification Number (PIN) which allows parents to submit the secondary school options for their child online via the S1 Internet System (S1-IS). The S1-IS is accessible 24 hours a day through the Ministry Of Education’s (MOE) Secondary One Posting website at www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/secondary-one- posting/ starting from 12.00 noon on 24 November 2011 to 3.00 pm on 30 November 2011.

4. Parents are advised to carefully consider their choices of secondary schools and complete the option form before logging on to the S1-IS, so that they can complete their online submission quickly and smoothly.

5. Alternatively, parents may also submit their child’s secondary school options through their child’s primary school. Submission at the primary schools will be from 12.00 noon to 3.00 pm on 24 November 2011; and 9.00 am to 3.00 pm between 25 November and 30 November 2011, excluding Saturday and Sunday.

Release of Secondary One Posting Results

6. The S1 posting results will be released on Wednesday, 21 December 2011. Parents will be able to receive their child’s posting results through any of the following channels:  Short Messaging System (SMS) via parent’s local mobile number (if indicated by parent in the S1 Option Form)

 Going to the child’s primary school 7. Pupils are to report to the secondary schools they are posted to on Thursday, 22 December 2011 at 8.30 am. One New Secondary School in 2012

8. (NCHS) will be designated as a Special Assistance Plan (SAP) school from January 2012, and will admit only Express course students offering CL or Higher (HCL) as a Mother Tongue Language. NCHS will ensure that all its existing students in the Normal courses as well as those offering MTLs other than CL or HCL are well-catered for and able to successfully complete their education.

Integrated Programme Introduced In Two More Schools in 2012

9. (VS) and Cedar Girls’ Secondary (CGSS) will offer the (IP) to their first batches of Secondary 1 students from 2012 onwards. Parents who would like to select either of these schools for their child should indicate if they are selecting the IP or ‘O’ level programme in these schools. There are different option codes for the different programmes in these schools, just as different schools have different option codes. For example, a parent may choose VS (IP) as a first choice and VS (‘O’ Level Programme) as a second choice. Another parent may choose VS (IP) as a first choice, another IP school as a second choice and VS (‘O’ Level Programme) as a third choice. Yet another parent may choose a different IP school as a first choice and VS (‘O’ Level Programme) as a second choice.

10.
