Tiebacks Tiebacks are an elegant way to hold your panels in place. Perfect for stationary panels, they bring gentle curves to windows and allow for more light in the room.

Wands Protect the color and quality of drapery with a coordinating wand or baton. They allow you to open and close your drapes without direct contact with the fabric.

Rings From bronze to silver, our rings add visual interest to the top of drapes. They add smooth functionality to occasionally traversed drapery. Our rings are designed to pair perfectly with our hardware collections. For wide traversing drapes, c-rings are available to traverse over support by-pass brackets.

DRAPERY LINING Lining adds more fullness and body to your drapery. It also protects fabric from the harmful effects of sunlight – it’s required on and for that reason – and that will help your drapery last longer.

Linings also enhance light control, privacy, insulation and noise reduction. Choose from Insulation Lining, Blackout Lining and Privacy Lining (shown above).

Drapery returns bring the fabric back to the wall at the outside edge. They cover the Hardware, eliminate the light gap and improve privacy and insulation.

Select from 2” to 8” return, based on your Hardware projection. Note: Returns add to the overall finished width of your Drapery and will add to the price accordingly.

MEMORY STITCH UPGRADE Memory stitch is used to keep the face and lining folds even top to the bottom of the drape. It will correct flaring which occurs with certain fabrics. When the drapery is closed the pleat hangs perfectly and holds an even fullness.

smithandnoble.com Guide To Smith & Noble Drapery | 12 800.248.8888 Design Tips

DRAPERY “STACKING” CONSIDERATIONS If there is limited wall space beside your window, such as a corner, a portion of your window and your view may be covered by the drapery panel, even when fully open because there will not be room to stack off the window or door. In certain situations a one way draw may solve the issue (as shown above).

MAKE WINDOWS SEEM LARGER You can make small windows seem much larger by taking your drapery up to the ceiling or crown molding, and adding 6-10 inches to either side of your window. It’s an easy way to add drama.
