As the preeminent, multidisciplinary real estate forum, ULI facilitates the open exchange of ideas, information, and experience among local, national, and international industry leaders and policy makers dedicated to creating better communities.

ULI has regional District Councils that deliver ULI’s resources and educational programs to their communities. Members who live in the Washington region are automatically members of ULI Washington, one of the largest and most active district councils in the country.

ULI Washington has over 2,000 dedicated and engaged members who collectively make this organization a dynamic and thought-provoking forum for the exchange of ideas and promulgation of solutions. Over the past year, more than 4,000 practitioners attended ULI Washington programs, including case studies, Young Leaders Group events, the Lifetime Achievement Award dinner and the Washington Real Estate Trends conference.

ULI Washington continues to have a robust program of work. In 2017, a new Regional Fellows program was implemented to facilitate solutions to intractable land use problems and to bring together public sector leaders from the public sector. A new Placemaking Initiative Council is being added to ULI Washington’s program offerings, and the district council is offering UrbanPlan for Public Officials as a way to help local officials understand the tradeoffs required when developing real estate projects.

There are many opportunities to make a difference at the local level, and we encourage you to become part of the district council experience.
