What’s Established 1915 New! Back to School BROWARD 2019/20 County Public Schools August 13, 2019 Volume 2

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is counting down to the start of the 2019/20 school year! The first day of classes for schools on the school year calendar is Wednesday, August 14, 2019.

Here is Volume 2 of What’s New in 2019/20:

Dual Language Program

BCPS continues to expand its Dual Language Program, with more middle schools participating in 2019/20. This year 40 elementary and 9 middle schools are offering the program for a total of 49 participating schools, up from 42 last year. The Dual Language Program provides students with the opportunity to become fully bilingual by learning, listening, speaking, reading and writing in English and the target language. The Dual Language Program also promotes multicultural awareness and appreciation for other languages and cultures. Learn more at browardschools.com/duallanguage.

What’s New on the Menu The District’s Food and Nutrition Services Department is dedicated to ensuring students have healthy and tasty food choices in their school cafeterias!
