The Centennial Aviation Pow Wow at the Provo Municipal Airport. Why? To have a great day checking out airport facilities, District Home watching planes fly in and out, meeting pilots, trying out Advancement and the UVU flight simulators, working on merit badges, Recognition and enjoying some lunch. And, registered Scouts get a cool patch! Training Who? Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Venturers, and their Calendar families from the Fort Utah and Rock Canyon Districts. Newsletter If space is still available, Scouts from other districts may register after July 31. Where? The Provo Municipal Airport, of course! When? Saturday, September 18, from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm. How? Scouts must be registered (see the link below) to attend merit badge classes and receive the lunch provided by the event sponsors. Everyone else can just show up! Lunch will also be available for purchase.

Schedule 8:00 am - Flag ceremony 8:30 am - First two-hour merit badge class begins (Aviation, Fire Safety, Weather) 9:00 am - Pilots from across the Rocky Mountain area begin a "fly in" to the Provo Municipal Airport 10:30 am - Free time to walk the flight-line (snack provided) 11:30 am - Second two-hour merit badge class begins (Aviation, Fire Safety, Space Exploration) 1:30 pm - Sponsor lunch provided for registered Scouts who attend a merit badge class -- in uniform 2:00 pm - Visiting aircraft depart

Sponsors Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, there will be no charge to Scouts attending this event who have properly registered and who attend in uniform. Registration Aviation Merit Badge

Before the Pow Wow There is no cost to attend the pow wow, but Scouts who want to Merit Badge Workbook attend merit badge classes and receive the sponsor lunch must be registered by their unit leaders. Only 100 Scouts may attend each Fire Safety Merit Badge

merit badge class. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Before the Pow Wow Merit Badge Workbook Scouts registered for merit badge classes need to read and follow Fire Safety Documents the Before the Pow Wow instructions for each class they will attend. Space Exploration Merit Badge The instructions contain critical information, including a list of which requirements must be completed in advance of the pow wow in order Before the Pow Wow to complete the merit badge on the day of the pow wow.
