Dear Sirs

In response to your letter dated 10th May 2016 regarding the further consultation in for County Council divisions.

I wish to make the following recommendations in relation to the proposed Deeping West & Rural:-

1. Uffington, , & Stowe, Greatford, Braceborough & Wilsthorpe have no relationship to Deeping, they have more of an affinity with Stamford & Bourne therefore calling it Deeping Rural gives the idea that it has does. 2. Uffington naturally gravitates to Stamford for schools, shopping and leisure. 3. Tallington due to the level crossing also goes towards Stamford for the same reason as above. 4. Residents of Barholm & Stowe, Greatford plus Braceborough & Wilsthorpe would use Stamford and Bourne for its major requirements before . 5. West Deeping would be the village which would naturally head towards Market Deeping as its residents would not wish to travel towards Stamford due to Tallington level Crossing. 6. There is a larger voting population in the villages than in the proposed Market Deeping division. 7. I propose that the name for the new division should reflex the identity of the whole area not just the Deepings therefore I propose the new name should be Deeping West & Truesdale. This was an old historic name which covered the majority of the villages in the new proposed division.

In conclusion I would like to see the division called Deeping West & Truesdale as I feel that this better represents both the Deeping element and the identity of the other villages which are not all connected with the Deepings.

Yours faithfully
