THE FUTURE OF SCREENS From james stanton A little bit about me. Hi I am James (Mckenzie) Stanton Thinker / Designer / Engineer / Director / Executive / Artist / Human / Practitioner / Gardner / Builder / and much more... Born in Essex, United Kingdom and survived a few hair raising moments and learnt digital from the ground up. Ok enough of the pleasantries I have been working in the design field since 1999 from the Falmouth School of Art and onwards to the RCA, and many companies. Ok. less about me and more about what I have seen… Today we are going to cover - SCREENS CONCEPTS - DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION - WHY ASSETS LIBRARIES - CODE LIBRARIES - COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION FOR IMPLEMENTATION I know, I know, I know. That's all good and well, but what does this all mean to a company like mine? We are about to see a massive change in consumer behavior so let's get ready. DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AS A USP Getting this correct will change your company forever. DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION USP-01 Digital transformation (DT) – the use of technology to radically improve performance or reach of enterprises – is becoming a hot topic for companies across the globe. VERY DIGITAL CHANGING NOT VERY DIGITAL DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION USP-02 Companies face common pressures from customers, employees and competitors to begin or speed up their digital transformation. However they are transforming at different paces with different results. • Technique: HTTP the Java Way
Technique: HTTP the Java way An article from Android in Practice EARLY ACCESS EDITION Charlie Collins, Michael D. Galpin, and Matthias Kaeppler MEAP Release: July 2010 Softbound print: Spring 2011 | 500 pages ISBN: 9781935182924 This article is taken from the book Android in Practice. The authors demonstrate how to send simple HTTP requests to a Web server using Java’s standard HTTP networking facilities. Tweet this button! (instructions here) Get 35% off any version of Android in Practice with the checkout code fcc35. Offer is only valid through www.manning.com. The standard Java class library already has a solution for HTTP messaging. An open-source implementation of these classes is bundled with Android’s class library, which is based on Apache Harmony. It’s simple and bare- bones in its structure and, while it supports features like proxy servers, cookies (to some degree), and SSL, the one thing that it lacks more than anything else is a class interface and component structure that doesn’t leave you bathed in tears. Still, more elaborate HTTP solutions are often wrappers around the standard Java interfaces and, if you don’t need all the abstraction provided, for example, by Apache HttpClient interfaces, the stock Java classes may not only be sufficient, they also perform much better thanks to a much slimmer, more low-level implementation. Problem You must perform simple networking tasks via HTTP (such as downloading a file) and you want to avoid the performance penalty imposed by the higher-level, much larger, and more complex Apache HttpClient implementation. Solution If you ever find yourself in this situation, you probably want to do HTTP conversations through a java.net.HttpURLConnection.

Adobe üldiste kasutustingimuste tarkvaratingimused Viimati uuendatud 1. juunil 2015. 1. Tarkvara kasutamine. 1.1 Liitumispõhine tarkvaralitsents. Kui me anname teile tarkvara teenuste kasutajaks liitumise raames, siis anname teile juhul, kui täidate neid tingimusi, mittevälistava litsentsi installida ja kasutada tarkvara: a) territooriumil, b) teie liitumise kehtivusajal ja c) kooskõlas käesolevate tingimustega ja tarkvaraga kaasneva seonduva dokumentatsiooniga. Is a SPARQL Endpoint a Good way to Manage Nursing Documentation Is a SPARQL Endpoint a good way to Manage Nursing Documentation by Muhammad Aslam Supervisor: Associate Professor Jan Pettersen Nytun Project report for Master Thesis in Information & Communication Technology IKT 590 in Spring 2014 University of Agder Faculty of Engineering and Science Grimstad, 2 June 2014 Status: Final Keywords: Semantic Web, Ontology, Jena, SPARQL, Triple Store, Relational Database Page 1 of 86 Is a SPARQL Endpoint a Good way to Manage Nursing Documentation Abstract. In Semantic Web there are different technologies available, among these technologies ontologies are considered a basic technology to promote semantic management and activities. An ontology is capable to exhibits a common, shareable and reusable view of a specific application domain, and they give meaning to information structures that are exchanged by information systems [63]. In this project our main goal is to develop an application that helps to store and manage the patient related clinical data. For this reason first we made an ontology, in ontology we add some patient related records. After that we made a Java application in which we read this ontology by the help of Jena. Then we checked this application with some other database solutions such as Triple Store (Jena TDB) and Relational database (Jena SDB). After that we performed SPARQL Queries to get results that reads from databases we have used, on the basis of results that we received after performing SPARQL Queries, we made an analysis on the performance and efficiency of databases. In these results we found that Triple Stores (Jena TDB) have capabilities to response very fast among other databases.
