If English is not your primary or native language and you have completed your previous education in a language other than English, you will need to provide proof of English language proficiency.Yorkville University’s ESL Pathway Program enables students, with less than the minimum required IELTS scores, to be accepted to Yorkville University programs in Ontario.

ONTARIO Students with IELTS or equivalent score of 5.5 and higher will enroll in Yorkville University’s regular academic program. • Students with scores above 5.5 but below 6.5 will enroll in the regular academic program and will enroll in an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course in Term 1. • For scores between 4.5 and 5.5, students will have to successfully complete Level 2 of the ESL Pathway Program. • For scores between 4.5 and 4.0, students will have to successfully complete Level 1 and Level 2 of the ESL Pathway Program. All students completing Level 2 of the ESL Pathway Program are eligible to start their academic program and will enroll in an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course in Term 1.
