Seller Insight

It’s definitely the views that make Corner House so incredibly special. I was moving from the city to the countryside, and when I saw the far- reaching rural views for the first time, I knew it would be an outstanding place to live. I’ve never tired of them, even after living here for 17 years,” say the owners.

“The location is fabulous, and we are surrounded by great amenities and lovely walks in abundance. It’s incredibly quiet and peaceful, yet we also enjoy a good choice of shops, pubs, and restaurants in Ombersley. There’s a lovely deli too, along with several farm shops. I go running every day (I tend to see more horses than cars!), and there are some lovely cycle routes too. We also enjoy walking alongside the river where there’s always something interesting to look out for. As well as this, Ombersley Golf Club is only half a mile away which we both like to use as it has a really friendly social club.”

“Corner House is set in grounds of around half an acre and the standout feature for us is the leisure area at the end of the garden. The panoramic views from here are second to none. It’s our favourite place to be, and we enjoy heading down to the aptly named Sunset Bar with our G&T to watch the most fantastic sunsets. We use the hot tub all year round and the recent addition of the home office has been really useful. We’re surrounded by wildlife and it’s always nice to see horses in the fields. All we can hear is the sound of birdsong and the first job of the day is to feed the birds! There’s no light pollution so it’s great for star gazing, and the full moon is something really quite special.”

“The house is perfect for entertaining. The leisure terrace in the garden is usually in high demand, and we just open the French doors from the sitting room to the patio to create a great entertaining area. We can easily accommodate up to 70 guests and we’ve enjoyed many BBQs and parties here, including a 50th birthday celebration.”

“The property has been completely refurbished and enhanced during our time here, and it’s ready for someone to just move in to and enjoy. The gardens have been fully landscaped too and they’re really starting to thrive. I feel privileged to have lived here and we’re planning to stay very local as we love the area so much,” conclude the current owners.*
