Apr 28, 2014 09:51 BST Strawberry Roses Transformed Into a Little Pot of Joy!

Cadbury is launching the first Cadbury Roses confectionery branded Pots of Joy chilled dessert.

Cadbury Roses are the ever popular assortments, and the delicious Strawberry Dream chocolate from the mix is getting a delectable dessert makeover. From the 5th May Strawberry Dream will be turned into a little pot of heaven as it becomes a smooth and creamy chocolate dessert, made with melted Cadbury chocolate and whipping cream, and an under-layer of sweet strawberry flavour fondant. The new flavour will join delicious , Cadbury Caramel and Cadbury White Chocolate Buttons Pots of Joy variants.

Cadbury Pots of Joy are produced under a license from Cadbury at Müller Minsterley, the chilled desserts facility near Shrewsbury.

Müller Dairy’s Marketing and R&D Director Michael Inpong says:

“Consumers continue to crave indulgent chocolaty treats and the new Cadbury Roses flavour adds another dimension to the Cadbury Pots of Joy range which taps into the market of chocolate and underlayer desserts.

“Cadbury Pots of Joy had an incredible launch last year and in February of this year they saw record value sales reaching £2million[i]. We are determined to build on this by appealing to consumers who might not normally purchase a Cadbury Pots of Joy, through a brand extension of the popular confectionary sharing box, Roses”

Last year was fantastic for the Cadbury desserts brand with penetration increasing by over 7% which equates to an extra 2 million[ii] households buying into the Cadbury desserts portfolio. Cadbury is the number one brand in the chilled desserts category[iii].

Cadbury Strawberry Dream Roses Pots of Joy will be available from 5th May. The delicious new variant will be available in packs of two with an RRP of £1.29 and in packs of four with an RRP of £2.49.
