Schenker Logistics (M) Sdn Bhd, a logistics partner for a number of world-class high-tech and semiconductor companies here, has signed an agreement with Kulim Technology Park Corp Bhd (KTPC) to set up its second facility at Kulim Hi- Tech Park (KHTP). Over the past five years, Schenker Logistics has established itself as a reputable provider of integrated logistics solutions for customers seeking to establish their hi-tech hub in Kulim. India’s UCO Bank is planning to set up a branch in Malaysia within two years to tap the country's vibrant manufacturing sector, said executive director S.A. Bhat. Heavy rain yesterday evening has resulted in the backyards of some houses in Taman Zooview sinking and dangling precariously over the slope above Wednesday’s landslide in Ulu Klang. Garden walls which were still attached to houses earlier yesterday had broken away and were about to collapse. The drainage system in Seremban will be upgraded in stages to put an end to floods in the district. Seremban municipal council president Abd Halim Abd Latif said the project, costing about RM30mil, would be completed within the next five years. He said poor drainage system has been identified as one of the causes for the floods. “So far, the works on drainage in eight roads including Jalan Lee Sam, Jalan Tun Dr Ismail, Jalan Sg Ujung, Jalan Tuanku Munawar have been completed,” he said.
