DISTRICT COUNCIL BY-ELECTION 4th May 2017 KEITH MARTIN Your Local Choice for Ward

Including Bracklesham, Earnley, Almodington, Batchmere and Somerley

Hello! My name is Keith Martin

I have lived in the Chichester area for over thirty years, of which the last ten years have been in Earnley with my wife Sharon.

My background is in general management and I have a degree in engineering and a master’s degree in management. Prior to setting up my own company in 2000, I held positions at managing director level in international Hi-Tech companies. I retired in 2010 when I sold my company.

I joined Earnley Parish council almost 5 years ago and am currently its Chairman. Through Earnley Parish Council I have been actively involved in a number of key local issues. These have involved improving flood protection, opposing large scale housing and other unsuitable developments, and I will continue to work to achieve a suitable use for the Concourse and now the Richardson’s site. I support the new Community Centre Project at Down View which will benefit young people.

We need a long-term strategic solution for the A27 which gives the Manhood residents good access to the A27 and Chichester City, and which does not damage the environment or our local tourist economy. I will ensure that the East Wittering Ward’s interests are well represented in the on-going debate.

I believe that we are fortunate to live in this area and, if elected to represent you as a District Councillor, I will use my local knowledge to ensure that the unique character of our community is retained and, where opportunities arise, I will strive to ensure the area is enhanced for the benefit of residents, visitors and the local economy.

Best wishes,

Keith
