    Biomatematický model BMM: Tour de France - 11. etapa Na programu jubilejní 100 Tour de France chyběl klasický prolog a tak jsme vhodnou trať pro BMM museli počkat až do 11. etapy, kdy přišla na řadu první individuální časovka. Náročnost 33km dlouhé trati notně zvyšoval silný vítr, se kterým se všichni závodníci potýkali. Hned v úvodu nasadil nepřekonatelnou laťku favorizovaný Tony Martin (Omega Pharma-Quick step), se kterým vyrovnanou partii sehrál jen žlutý Chris Froome (Sky Procycling), výrazně tím navyšující své celkové vedení. Mezi ostatními jezdci top 10 to byla vyrovnaná bitva. Roman Kreuziger (Team Saxo-Tinkoff) zajel výborně a udržel celkové 5. místo a samozřejmě velmi emotivním zážitkem pro všechny byla ostrá jízda paralympika Jirky Ježka v roli oficiálního předjezdce.     Mark French - 2002 Victorian Cyclist of the Year 2002 – 2003 Annual Report CycleSport Victoria President’s Report Finance I am delighted to announce that for the fifth year running, CycleSport Victoria has returned a trading surplus and we have achieved what I believe is a better than satisfactory result. A lot of hard work has been invested in returning this result and I commend the Board and staff for their constant cost monitoring, with a special mention going to our finance director, Trevor Wilkie. With our new home within reach, this surplus will be essential in providing the best possible membership benefits from the new facility. As a result of the Junior Worlds being conducted, the surplus funds here have now been transacted to CSV under the agreement that the money is spent on a major project. In this case, the money will be allocated directly to the timing equipment required at the No 2 training velodrome. CSV has also now had the trust money passed across from the trustees, holding the money on our behalf. This money will be allocated directly to the seating provision in the back straight of the training velodrome. In terms of significant purchases made this financial year, a new photocopier was purchased for the office at a cost of $13,000. Membership CSV have continued to work tirelessly on offering and providing a greater level and range of servicing to our members. The website for one continues to provide excellent service. With race entries, results, club contacts, handicaps, velodrome details and latest information amongst many more sections, it is an excellent resource to any member and the general public.

Jamieson, 29, will contest the time trial, road race and criterium at the three-day titles which incorporate the prestigious Bendigo Grand Prix, sponsored by Hume & Iser HoME Hardware and Andy’s Earthmovers. Based in Bendigo for the past 12 months, where he is undertaking an advanced diploma of building design, Jamieson as amassed an incredible record as a cyclist, especially on the track. He won the world junior individual pursuit championship in Melbourne in 2006, was a member of Australia’s gold medal-winning pursuit team at the world titles in Bordeaux, France, in 2006, and gained silver in the teams pursuit at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games, also in 2006. An Olympic medal narrowly eluded him at the Beijing Games in 2008 when the Australian team of Jamieson, Bradley McGee, Jack Bobridge and Luke Roberts surprisingly lost the ride-off for third place against New Zealand. His victories also include nearly 20 gold medals in senior and junior competition at national track championships. Jamieson maintains his passion for cycling but, as he concentrates on full-time study at Bendigo TAFE, he is no longer pressured by the intensity of competing on the international stage.

Australian track cyclists more or less dominated the Athens Olympics track program with six gold medals. Here is a unique view from the strength and conditioning coach. My apologies if the following has been posted previously. It is doing the rounds of some bike forums, so some may have already seen it. There's no name on it and that's how I came upon it, but the guy's name is no secret. Just a few points of interest. Ryan Bayley, mentioned below, won the Athens individual sprint gold. Check out the last paragraph for some insights into the last thread on 'endurance paradox'. Note the squat and jump data.
