Job Reference : BC/07/21 Contract : Permanent Salary : £10 per hour Hours : 30 hours a week (6 hours a day over 5 days) Reports to: Head Chef, Senior Sous Chef, Manager POSITION SUMMARY:

The Breakfast Chef will be responsible for the running of breakfast 5 days a week, 6 hours a day, ensuring that all customers receive a consistent breakfast on a daily basis, providing a ‘can do’ attitude.

Main Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities:

• To undertake duties as set you by the Head Chef or Management

• To actively be an integral part of the team

• To operate and participate in the efficient smooth running of the Kitchen

• To prepare, and present breakfast required to the standards set by the Head Chef and Management

• Work and co-operate with Senior Chefs to ensure that any being served to our customers meets the laid down standards

• To ensure that all statutory elements of health and hygiene are adhered to and maintain the premises in a safe and healthy condition and to a high standard

• To be aware of and adhere to applicable hotel rules, regulations, legislation and procedures, national legislation (Health and Safety, COSHH, GDPR)

Planning and Organisation:

• To be responsible for the preparation of breakfast for each day and also preparation for the next day to allow a smooth running breakfast service each day

• Good hygiene practices

• Able to work unsupervised Decision Making and Use of Judgement:

• To be responsible for checking of deliveries and supplies in the absence of a Senior Chef, or as directed

• To contribute as requested and learn about compilation in line with the policies and standards of the Hotel Essential Internal and External Relationships:

• Create and promote a good working atmosphere in the Kitchen and within other departments

• Work and co-operate with other Food and Beverage team members to ensure that any foods being served to our customers is to the laid down standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• 2 years minimum previous experience of working in a Kitchen or hospitality, and a good understanding of the correct food preparation practices.

• Working well under pressure
