American Airlines Appoints Erwan Perhirin As New Vice President, Asia Pacific

American Airlines announced the appointment of Erwan Perhirin as its new Vice President, Asia Pacific, replacing Theo Panagiotoulias who held the position for over seven years.

Perhirin joined American in 1996 and has held several positions in customer and employee technology groups. In his most recent role, he was the Managing Director - Strategic Alliances, where he worked on the successful implementation of joint business agreements with Airlines and Qantas and also had responsibilities for developing American’s partnerships across the Asia Pacific zone with a primary focus on China and Southeast Asia. Perhirin has previously worked in Japan, spending nine months in focused on American’s efforts to strengthen its partnership with JAL. Prior to joining American, Perhirin worked for AOM French Airlines in and Tokyo in both Sales and Airport Operations roles. He earned a Masters of Business Administration degree at Paris’ Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees and was raised in Europe and , but also lived in Asia and Latin America giving him a unique cosmopolitan background and experience.
