Drew Heiman Fr. Matt Siegman Parochial Vicar Sunday, August 11, 2019 PASTOR’S The Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time CORNER Dear Fellow Parishioners, We are proudly working to create a culture of planned giving to continue the vision of creating disciples and living the stewardship way of life and ensure the legacy of our . A strong culture of planned giving will benefit this vision for both the current and future members of our Parish. It will also strengthen the financial position of the church, enhancing our ability to provide the many ministries offered here at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Father T.J. O’Sullivan Society, named after Blessed Sacrament’s founding pastor, was created in early 2010 by now Shawn McKnight. This society recognizes the families and individuals who have provided for Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church through a planned gift. I want to personally thank all of our Father T. J. O’Sullivan Legacy Society members. You are playing a critical role in ensuring that our parish can maintain a vital presence in our changing community. There are many ways an individual or family can belong to the Father T. J. O’Sullivan Legacy Society. 1. Bequest. A bequest is when a financial gift is made through your will or trust. It is one of the most popular and flexible ways that you can support our cause. 2. IRA Charitable Rollover. People 70 ½ and older can reduce their taxable income by making a gift directly from their IRA. 3. Other ways include: Beneficiary Designation Gifts, Charitable Gift Annuity, and many more.

These charitable gifts help our parish provide with the ability to evangelize and passionately live out the Catholic faith. To assist our parish in promoting Father T. J. O’Sullivan Legacy Society and to help you in establishing a planned gift, the parish has hired Don Brinkman. I would encourage you to call or visit with Don about the many possibilities to becoming a member of this important society. To close, I am thankful for the gift of each parishioner and your sacrificial offerings of Time, Talent, and Treasure. You are truly grateful stewards who are committed to growing closer to Christ and helping others do the same. In the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
