General Show Rules
ASTM APPROVED headgear must be worn by all riders at all times while mounted Numbers must be visible on each rider whenever mounted Horses are never to be left unattended while tied to trailers All horses are to be kept under control & supervised NO DOGS ALLOWED ON SHOW GROUNDS Unmanageable horses will be excused from the ring and/or grounds Manes are to be braided or neatly pulled—braiding required for Dressage Show Lame horses will be excused from the grounds Age is taken as of January 1, 2012 Anyone using excessive force on their horse will be asked to leave the grounds A warm up area will be provided Riding in non-designated areas is not permitted In the case of heavy rain the show will be moved indoors Please bring water for your horse Seven Pines Stables reserves the right to split & combine classes as they see fit The waiver must be signed in order to participate Entries accepted the morning of the show (Schooling & Jumper only) All fees for classes must be paid before rider is allowed to enter the ring Any un-necessary outbursts from spectators or riders towards the judge or staff will result in automatic withdrawal from the show & grounds with no refund of class money Courtesy to other riders in the warm up area must be shown at all times. This is a NON Smoking facility—please smoke in your vehicles
For the Jumper Show: Warm-up jumps will be flagged. Riders MUST take these jumps only in the direction specified by the flags – Red on right, White on left – Failure to follow these rules may result in elimination from the show with no refund of entries paid

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS: Hunter Hack - flat class done in both directions with up to 2 fences (see rules for each division) to be jumped - flat portion to be done in group - over fences portion done one rider at a time - judged on way of going and ease and ability to handle the fences
Hack Division - this is a flat division, Pleasure Hack-is judged on horses way of going, easy nature, quiet willing attitude. Hunter Under Saddle - judged on way of going and ability to be a good hunter. Show Hack- is judged on horses way of going, how horse covers the ground, extended/collected gaits may be asked for at all 3 gaits.
LEAD LINE CLASS - for riders 8 yrs and under, they must be lead by a handler that is 16 yrs +. Riders will be asked to walk both ways of the ring as well as trot - the trot may be done one rider at a time (will be the choice of the judge) Not part of a division - riders cannot enter any other classes.
HUNTER PAIRS - two horses working together at the walk and trot in both directions of the ring. All pairs to show in the ring together. Will be judged on the pairs way of going, how well they match and how well they stay together. Riders are to be in show attire. Not part of any division
BAREBACK EQUITATION - all riders that enter will get a prize, riders will be asked to w/t/c both directions and will be judged on their equitation while riding bareback. Not part of any division CLASS LIST:

Beginner Division: w/t - never shown @ canter 12 & under Riders in this division may not enter any other division except Open W/T and Open Pairs 8. Equitation – w/t 9. Pleasure – w/t 10. Hunter Hack - w/t + 1 x rail
Novice Division: Riders must be in first or second year of showing at the canter - w/t/c - any age 11. Equitation –w/t/c 12. Pleasure – w/t/c 13. Equitation Over Fences (Course) - max 6 fences -max 1’9
Lunch to follow Novice Division but not before 11:30am
14. Open Hunter Pairs Class: Two horse/rider combinations working together as a pair To be judged on way the pair works together & the match of the pair, behavior & overall appearance All pairs will be in the ring together
