FROM THE HEADMASTER’S OFFICE

Our team and coaches surprised friend and foe by finishing fourth among the co-ed schools during our first A-league inter-high gala yesterday. By doing so we avoided the relegation zone and our swimming flag will again fly proudly at the A-league next year. Amidst the wonderful rain we are hosting the B-league athletics inter-high at Pilditch tomorrow. We hope every athlete, coach, helper, teacher and spectator will have a fun-filled day.

We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls.

I would like to wish each grade a soul-touching camp experience; from the grade 9s who leave early on Saturday for Babanango in Northern KZN to the grade 8s leaving for Konka in North West on Monday morning. May every learner and teacher return feeling energised and motivated for the challenges of the rest of the first term.

A friendly reminder to grade 9-12 parents about their first Coffee-with-Carel session in the staff room on Thursday, 2 March at 07:30. Please notify Debbi at [email protected] if you would like to attend.

# Mother Teresa (1910-1997) also known as Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, was a Roman Catholic nun and missionary. She was the recipient of numerous honours, including the 1979 Nobel Peace Prize.
