2017-18 PAC-12 WOMEN’S ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMS ANNOUNCED

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Pac-12 Conference announced today the 15-member All-Pac-12 women’s basketball team, as well as the fve-member All-Defensive squad and fve-member All-Freshman team. The teams were selected in a vote of the league’s 12 coaches.

The Pac-12 Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, John R. Wooden Coach of the Year and Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors will be announced this evening at 5 p.m. PT/6 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Network in a special 30-minute Pac-12 Sport Report. In addition to the live announcement of the yearly awards, the show will include analysis and recaps of the Conference heading into the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament in Seattle, Wash. Ashley Adamson will host with analysts Anne Marie Anderson and Mary Murphy. In addition to airing on Pac-12 Network, the show can be watched via the Pac-12 Now app (available on the App store for iOS and Google Play for Android) and on Pac-12.com/now.

CALIFORNIA junior (Phoenix, Calif.) and UCLA senior (Los Angeles, Calif.) earn a spot on the all-Conference team for the third-consecutive year, while another seven were repeat honorees. The All-Defensive team is made up of four student-athletes from the LA schools: repeat performers Canada and UCLA senior teammate Monique Billings (Corona, Calif.), and USC’s Aliyah Mazyck, a junior guard, and Minyon Moore, a sophomore guard. OREGON STATE senior Marie Gülich joins them on the squad. Five different teams are represented on the All-Freshman team.

The Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament takes place this week, March 1-4, in Seattle at KeyArena. Tickets are available for purchase at pac-12.com/tickets.
