WHAT WE DO Landcare is a community-based approach to managing and protecting our natural resources – creating more productive and sustainable farms, conserving our environment and building more cohesive and resilient communities. Landcare groups in the North West are progressive and community driven and their purpose is to assist the community to improve the uptake of sustainable farming practices and to promote the conservation of our natural resources. • We work actively with other community groups to provide educational and topical events. • We provide a meeting place for community members. • We identify funding for landholders and community groups. • We conduct field days, bus trips and workshops. • We implement Landcare projects across the . • We assist Landcare groups within our region. • We access expert advice for landholders.

We work to support local Landcare groups, volunteers, landholders to achieve their environmental and community goals. We work to support local Landcare groups with on-the-ground works for biodiversity restoration and conservation as well as promoting education, communication and sustainability. Our members, groups and volunteers are our most important resource.
