Nov. 6-12, 2017 NCHCHockey.com | NCHC.tv 17 Previous Week Round-Up the win. WMU hits the road for two games at No. 8/8 Minneso- ta Duluth next weekend, while the Pioneers return home for a clash with No. 2/2 St. Cloud State in NCHC play.

Following a hard-fought win on Friday night, No. 2/2 St. Cloud State used strong special teams to cruise to a 5-0 win over in- state rival No. 8/8 Minnesota Duluth Saturday afternoon at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center, capping a weekend sweep. Freshman goaltender Dávid Hrenák earned his first collegiate shutout with a 29-save performance to improve to 3-0-0 on the season, while the Huskies (7-0-0, 2-0-0-0 NCHC) remained perfect on the season. A pair of power play goals from junior forwards Jacob Benson and Mikey Eyssimont put SCSU up 2-0 in the first period, while a short-handed marker from classmate Robby Jackson made it 3-0 midway through the second. The Huskies then tacked on two more tallies in the period, including one from senior forward Blake Winiecki. Winiecki, Benson and Eyssimont all also had an assist for two-point nights. Despite the loss, the Bulldogs (4-4-2, 0-2-0-0 NCHC) outshot the Huskies, 29-26, but SCSU went 2-for-3 on the power play and 6-for-6 on the penalty kill. St. Cloud State hits the road for two games at No. 1/1 Denver next weekend, while UMD heads home to host Western Michigan twice.

Striking twice in the second period, Colorado College overcame a first-period deficit to pick up a 2-1 win overMiami on Satur- day at Steve Cady Arena as the teams spilt their weekend series. The RedHawks (4-4-0, 1-1-0-0 NCHC) opened the scoring with a goal from senior forward Conor Lemirande in the first frame, but the Tigers (6-4-0, 2-2-0-0 NCHC) roared back. Junior forward Tanner Ockey tied the game early in the second stan- za, while classmate Westin Michaud scored the game-winner on the power play with only one-tenth of a second left in the middle period as neither team scored in the final frame. Miami outshot CC, 27-14, but sophomore Alex Leclerc compiled 26 saves to earn the win in net for the Tigers. The RedHawks were also 0-for-6 on the power play. CC returns home to host Omaha in NCHC play next weekend, while Miami heads west for two games at No. 4/5 North Dakota.

Overcoming a pair of one-goal deficits,No. 4/5 North Dakota picked up a 2-2 overtime tie on the road at No. 7/7 Wiscon- sin Saturday night at the Kohl Center. Sean Dhooghe put the Badgers (6-4-1) in front when he scored on a penalty shot in the first period, but freshman forward Collin Adams tallied for the second straight night to tie the game four minutes into the third period. After Jason Dhooghe regained the lead for Wisconsin, UND junior forward Shane Gersich answered six minutes later to pull the Fighting Hawks (6-2-2) level at 2-2, while neither team scored in overtime. North Dakota outshot the Badgers, 32-24, in the tie. UND returns to conference play next weekend, hosting Miami for two games.
