Currently Sister lives at the Sisters of Notre Dame Center in Whitehouse, . Sister taught elementary grades at various schools in the Toledo Diocese. She ministered as Diocesan Supervisor and also Notre Dame Community Elementary Supervisor for 10 years. Sister had a big part of the beginnings of Mary Immaculate School and Lial Elementary School. As Pastoral Minister in Norwalk, Ohio, she became interested in prison ministry and continued that ministry until 2014. 75th Jubilee Sister Mary Maurus Labadie Sisters of Notre Dame

Sister currently lives at Rosary Care Center in Sylvania, Ohio. She was a teacher most of her life, teaching at various elementary schools in the Toledo Diocese from 1943-2010. Her love for music impelled her to learn to play many instruments; she loved playing the violin and she loves to listen to classical music. Her love of reading enriches her with new knowledge as a life-long learner. 75th Jubilee Sister Rose Maria Moser Sisters of Notre Dame

Currently Sister lives at the Ursuline Center in Toledo. From 1943-1957 she taught in various elementary schools of the Toledo Diocese, before beginning her ministry as a Math teacher in various high schools in the Diocese. In 1973, sister began her ministry as an Adoration sister and secretarial assistant in the Generalate in Rome for 30 years. She has two nieces in the Notre Dame order and they love doing things together. Her sister who was also a Sister of Notre Dame died in 2006. 75th Jubilee Sister Margaret Ann Babione Sisters of St. Ursula

Sister Margaret Ann Babione, OSU entered the Ursuline Convent in 1943. Sister Margaret Ann taught in several parochial schools of the diocese and was principal of St. Rose School, Perrysburg. She became a pastoral minister and served in Oklahoma, Tennessee and Michigan in campus and outreach programs. 75th Jubilee Sister Elizabeth Jean Siebenaler Sisters of St. Francis Tiffin Sister Elizabeth Jean Siebenaler served as infirmarian at St. Francis Convent, Tiffin, and St. Anthony Villa, Toledo; director of nursing services, Lourdes Hospital, Paducah, Ky; missionary, Chiapas, Mexico; staff nurse, East Coast Migrant Health Project and Lake Wales, FLA; Congregational Leadership; Minister of Service in Toledo, Ohio; and Minister of Prayer and Presence, Tiffin. She presently serves as a Minister of Prayer and Presence at Friedman Village, Tiffin. 75th Jubilee Sister Virginia Harris Sisters of Mercy

Sister Virginia Harris was born in Fremont and entered the Sisters of Mercy in Cincinnati in 1943. All of her ministry in religious life was in health care as a registered nurse. She served originally as an OB supervisor at Mercy Hospital, Toledo; St. Charles Hospital, Oregon; and Our Lady of Mercy in Coldwater, Ohio. For 45 years Sister served at Mercy Hospital in Urbana, Ohio as OB supervisor, Director of Nursing, and finally as patient advocate. Sister now resides at St. Bernardine Home Fremont, Ohio, and is part of the prayer ministry there. 75th Jubilee Sister Edith Ryan Sisters of Mercy

Sister Edith Ryan, a native of Columbus, Ohio, entered the Sisters of Mercy in 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Although she began her ministry in education she spent over 40 years at Mercy Hospital, Urbana, Ohio. As a nurse she ministered in OB, med-surgical and her favorite ER. All in Urbana remember her caring touch. Sister now lives at St. Bernardine Home in Fremont and is part of the Mercy Community’s prayer ministry. 70th Jubilee Sister Mary Estella Perkins Sisters of Notre Dame

Currently Sister lives at the Ursuline Center in Toledo, Ohio. Sister taught at various schools in the Toledo Diocese before she began the ministry of domestic work at the Provincial Center. She enjoys keeping current with what is happening in Notre Dame and in the world and loves joining in events whenever she can. Sister Veronica NowakowskiTiffin served as an elementary teacher in Ohio schools at Carey, New Washington, Fort Jennings, Blakeslee, Peru, Bryan, Oak Harbor, Miller City, New Cleveland, Bucyrus, Delphos, and Willard and as an elementary teacher and principal in North Carolina at St. John’s School, Waynesville; secondary teacher at St. Francis High School, Tiffin; music instructor at St. Francis School of Music, Tiffin; Assistant Activity Director, St. Francis Home, Tiffin; member of the Life Enrichment Department at St. Francis Home, Tiffin, and as a Minister of Service. She presently serves as a member of the Life Enrichment Department at St. Francis Home, Tiffin. 70th Jubilee Sister Marilyn Keller Sisters of St. Francis Tiffin Sister Marilyn Keller served as a nurse at St. Francis Convent infirmary, St. Anthony Villa, Toledo, and Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky; Congregational Leadership; Admission Coordinator at St. Francis Home, Tiffin; Spiritual Care Coordinator, St. Francis Home; Sacristan and Spiritual Care Staff member, St. Francis Home; and Minister of Prayer and Service. She presently serves as a Minister of Prayer. 70th Jubilee Sister Dorothy Dalton Sisters of Mercy Sister Dorothy Dalton is a native of Fremont, Ohio. She attended the Mercy Aspirant school at Our Lady of the Pines and entered the Sisters of Mercy in Cincinnati in 1948. All of her ministry was in health care. She began as a surgical nurse at Mercy Hospital Toledo and also was an instructor at the School of Nursing. Later Sister Dorothy was the Director of the School of Nursing at St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima, Ohio. In 1973 she became certified in Midwifery and served in this capacity for over 20 years in Hyde, Kentucky; Mound Bayou, Mississippi; Jackson Mississippi; and Memphis, Tennessee. On returning to Ohio Sister served at our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center. She now resides at St. Bernardine Home in Fremont and is part of the Mercy community’s prayer ministry. 70th Jubilee Sister Mary Jane Magers Sisters of Mercy

Sister Mary Jane Magers was born in Tiffin Ohio. She attended Our Lady of the Pines Aspirant school and entered the Sisters of Mercy in 1948. Sister Mary Jane ministered in elementary education in various schools in the Toledo Diocese for 20 years. She then began giving service to the elderly sisters of the Mercy Community as a nurse aide and beautician. She has shown endless capacity and creativity in meeting the needs of her sisters and in welcoming guests to the Pines Retreat Center and convent. She now resides at St. Bernardine Home, continuing to share in many ways. 65th Jubilee Father Donald Thieman Missionary of the Precious Blood

Missionary of the Precious Blood Fr. Donald Thieman, C.PP.S., is celebrating the 65th anniversary of his ordination. A native of Coldwater, Ohio, Fr. Thieman has served in parish ministry, including at St. Ann Parish in Toledo. For over 50 years, he was a missionary to Chile. Fr. Sister Eileen Marie Vogel, OSU entered the Ursuline Convent in 1953. She taught in several schools in the diocese. Her longest tenure was at St. John the Baptist parish where she taught and then served as Religious Education Coordinator. Sister currently lives at the Sisters of Notre Dame Center in Whitehouse, Ohio. Sister taught at various schools of the Toledo Diocese, and was principal at Holy Rosary Toledo, Leipsic, Delphos, Norwalk, and Sandusky. Sister currently lives at the Sisters of Notre Dame Center in Whitehouse, Ohio. Sister taught primary grades at various schools in the Toledo Diocese. From 1971-2002 she was principal in several schools of the Toledo Diocese and in Temperance, Michigan. Over many years she cared for the elderly sisters and assisted in the Health Care Center. Sister currently lives at the Sisters of Notre Dame Center in Whitehouse, Ohio. As a skilled seamstress, Sister fitted the sisters in their habits and veils for 32 years. Her rich creativity was manifested in her love for landscaping, decorating, card making, and cooking. Beischel had been involved in hospital chaplaincy and parish ministry. Among the hospitals where he served is St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. Fr. Missionary of the Precious Blood Fr. James McCabe, C.PP.S., is celebrating the 60th anniversary of his ordination. A native of Newcastle, Neb., Fr. McCabe had been involved in parish ministry, college administration and leadership of the Congregation. Fr. Sister Nancy Mathias, OSU currently serves as Delegate for Consecrated Life, Coordinator for Clergy, Consecrated Life and Vocations and Coordinator for Mission Appeals for the Diocese of Toledo. In the past, Sister has served as a principal, as major superior of the Ursulines, as a member of the Diocesan Schools Office and as president of the National Conference of Vicars for Religious. Sister Nancy received the Benemerenti Award from Pope Benedict in 2011. She took final vows at the Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in 1971. Sister has ministered as the Director of the Spiritual Care Department since 1994 at Eden Springs healthcare facility in Green Springs, OH (formerly called St. Francis Health Care Center). Missionary of the Precious Blood Fr. Ken Alt, C.PP.S., is celebrating the 40th anniversary of his ordination. A native of Tiffin, Ohio, Fr. Alt has been involved in parish ministry and vocation ministry. Missionary of the Precious Blood Fr. George “Yuri” Kuzara, C.PP.S., is celebrating the 40th anniversary of his ordination. Fr. Kuzara, a native of East Chicago, Ind., has biritual faculties for the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. Missionary of the Precious Blood Fr. Rick Friebel, C.PP.S., is celebrating the 40th anniversary of his ordination. Fr. Friebel has served in parish ministry, college ministry and hospital chaplaincy. Missionary of the Precious Blood Fr. Thomas Hemm, C.PP.S., is celebrating the 40th anniversary of his ordination. A native of Piqua, Ohio, he has served in parish ministry and leadership of the Congregation. He was also a Missionary in Chile for many years. Fr. Hemm was formerly pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Ottawa, Ohio. He is now the house director at St. Charles Center in Carthagena, Ohio. 40th Jubilee Sister Karen Marie Szkatulski Sisters of Notre Dame

Currently residing at Notre Dame Academy where she also taught, Sister taught the upper grades at various schools in the Toledo Diocese. She taught and was receptionist at Mary Immaculate School before working in the parish offices of St. James and Immaculate Conception parishes in Toledo. Many years were also spent in ministering with the Sisters at Lial Renewal Center, Notre Dame Academy, and the SND Center. 40th Jubilee Sister Marie Joyce Dettinger Sisters of Notre Dame

Currently residing in Toledo, Ohio, Sister is teaching music lessons at Lial School in Whitehouse, Ohio. In the past Sister has given voice lessons as well. Currently residing in Alamo, Texas, Sister ministers to the migrants and immigrants in southern Texas while assisting those recovering from natural disasters of the past year. Sister has taught junior high and high school in various cities of the Toledo Diocese. Currently residing in Delphos, Ohio, Sister teaches 2nd Grade at St. John School. Sister has taught in several schools of the Toledo Diocese as well as schools in Indiana and South Carolina. Currently living in Toledo, Ohio, Sister is director of Evangelization and Discipleship at Little Flower Parish in Toledo. She has been in formation and leadership positions for the Sisters of Notre Dame as well as ministries at the Toledo Diocesan office. Currently living in Sylvania, Ohio, Sister is a Senior Support Professional at Sunshine Services Inc. of Northwest, Ohio in Maumee, Ohio. Sister taught in several schools of the Toledo Diocese, as well as in Michigan. She also ministered at Maria Child Care Center as receptionist. 25th Jubilee Sister Kerstin Maria Deubel Sisters of Notre Dame

Currently residing in Coesfeld, Germany, Sister ministers at the International House in our German Province. Sister Kerstin Maria has ministered in the Toledo Diocese as health care assistant, in schools as teacher aide, and with EnCamino on Special Projects. She also worked with children in Texas and New Orleans.
