Aetna First Step Card™ Program

The easy way to Members of an Aetna* health plan can begin to lower their prescription costs simply by presenting their Aetna medical ID cards to participating save on prescription at the time of purchase. drugs! Aetna Members: Here’s How To Use the First Step Pharmacy Card Program

■ Locate the nearest participating Aetna First Step Pharmacy Card retail pharmacy. To find a participating pharmacy: > Use our DocFind® directory, available through our website at www.aetna.com. > Call the Aetna Member Services toll-free number on your Aetna medical ID card. > Ask your current retail pharmacist if his or her pharmacy participates in the program.

■ When you are filling a new prescription, present your Aetna medical ID card to the pharmacist along with your prescription form. If you previously participated in another discount prescription program, make sure your pharmacist has the correct information about you and your covered dependents, including accurate dates of birth.

■ Pay the full amount of Aetna’s negotiated discount for the prescription directly to the pharmacy and save your receipt. You’ll need your receipt for reimbursement under your health plan.

■ Complete an Aetna claim form. You can get a form by logging on to our secure Aetna Navigator™ member website at www.aetna.com. Select “Requests & Changes” and then click on “Forms.” Mail your pharmacy receipt and your claim form to us at the address on the form.
