We are happy to welcome two interns from Bradley University to the WTVP team for the summer and into the fall. Adeola Fashola (right) is a senior and is majoring in Television Arts. We are look- ing forward to put his production, camera operation and editing experience to work this summer. Ade would eventually love to be a screenwriter. Misa Nagase will be a junior in the fall and is studying Public Relations. She is just returning from studying abroad in London and working as a social media coordinator for the US Embassy in Lon- don. We are eager to put her social media and organizational skills to good use here at WTVP. Misa tells us her dream job would be to work for NPR. We are excited to have them aboard and if you see them around the station please give them a warm welcome!

Illinois Adventure…Jim Wilhelm’s Journey Illinois Adventure has been a staple of WTVP for over 32 years. We have traveled the backroads and paths of Illinois with the extraordinary host, Jim Wilhelm. After all those journeys Jim is packing his bag one last time… for retirement. We have shared hundreds of laughs, adventures and surprises with Jim and we have one last big send off for his retirement. August 10th at 7 PM, a LIVE on-air event Illinois Adventure… Jim Wilhelm’s Journey , featuring Jim Wilhelm for 2 ½ hours of interviews, clips and show favorites hosted by Yvonne Greer. In production since 1987 this award-winning series has become a cornerstone of WTVP’s local programming. Shot on location throughout the state, ILLINOIS ADVENTURE shows viewers the many interesting places to visit and things to do just a few hours from home. From fishing on Lake Michigan to searching out tree frogs in the Cache River swamp to vis- iting long-forgotten towns that are vital parts of Illinois’ history, there’s something for everyone here. Illinois Adventure has been partially underwritten by the generous people at Country Financial in Bloomington, Illinois in the past.
