Fourth Sunday of Easter May 12, 2019 Welcome to St. Joseph of the Lakes Catholic Church page 2 FROM FR. I think it is fairly easy to get 5:00 pm Saturday/8:30 and 10:00 am Sunday caught up by this idea and begin to reflect more negatively on the impending future. They concentrated on the idea Reconciliation of the resurrection of the body. Jesus is the first-born of the 3:30-4:30 p.m. Saturday or by appointment dead and all who belong to him will follow in his new life. Rosary The stories we are hearing in these weeks after Easter are all Every Wednesday in Historic Church after 8:30 am Mass about the bodily appearance of Jesus. My favorite of the stories Every Saturday at 4:15 pm before Mass is where Jesus asks if they have anything to eat. This is a real connection to a living body. I think the ancient Christians were Address concentrating on the true message of Jesus’ death and 171 Elm Street, Lino Lakes MN 55014 resurrection. It would be good for us to recover that mentality and not worry too much about where we will be spending eternity. After all it’s all in God’s hands. ST. JOSEPH’S CEMETERY St. Joseph’s Cemetery We try to keep our cemetery looking beautiful and inviting. The Cemetery Committee has removed many of the arrangements that have become unsightly. Any other small decorations, (balloons, pinwheels, stuffed animals, statuettes, toys etc.) must be placed on the monument/marker or in the pots. Since we are moving into lawn mowing season, we will be removing and discarding the following items starting on May 13: cut or artificial flowers, glass containers and unacceptable pots or plantings, small objects left or attached to the ground that may get caught in the mower. One (1) plant stand on either side of the monument or one (1) ornamental pot hanger is allowed at the base of the monument. Perpetual Care As we remember and pray for those who have died we also need to provide for the care of the place they are buried. Please consider making a contribution for the perpetual care of St. Joseph’s Cemetery; please mark your contribution accordingly. Cremation and conventional graves, as well as columbarium niches are available. Please call the church office for more information. Memorial Day Mass Our parish community will gather for Mass on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27 at 9:15 am by the flag pole. The Mass will be followed by a brief military service. You are welcome to bring lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on. In case of inclement weather, the Mass will be held in the Historic Church.
