Broussard's Bayou Grill Presents the 1St Annual Navarre Beach Bash Broussard’s Bayou Grill Presents the 1st Annual Navarre Beach Bash Saturday, Oct 13, 2018 Navarre Beach, FL Sponsorship Proposal About 1st Annual Navarre Beach Bash Presented by Broussard’s Bayou Grill Page | 1 Navarre Beach Bash Sponsorship Proposal The Navarre Beach Bash is a one-day music festival set to for Saturday, Oct 13th on Navarre Beach. This event will consist of 8-10 musical acts playing on the main stage from 10 AM to 10 PM and our Kid’s Fun Zone will have a second stage and kid focused entertainment and activities from 11 AM – 5 PM. Our title sponsor, Broussard’s Bayou Grill, will feature great Southern cuisine for our guests plus we will have other vendors and a large VIP area for guests and sponsors. This is a Greater Navarre Area Chamber of Commerce event in cooperation with the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office, Santa Rosa County Economic Development Office, Broussard’s Bayou Grill on Navarre Beach and many great local and regional businesses. Our goal is to promote tourism on Navarre Beach as well as build Navarre Beach’s brand and awareness as a great destination for families and groups. We intend to expand this event is subsequent years to a multi-day music, art and food festival. Target Demographic & Markets Our target market for this year’s festival is Escambia, Santa Rosa & Okaloosa Counties in Florida and Baldwin & Escambia Counties in Alabama. These counties have a combined population of almost one million people with a large contingent of Military families. Santa Rosa County, FL has a population of 170,000 with 42,000 of that being in Navarre with a median household income of $60,500. Our target demographics will be men & women between 25 & 50 years of age, with median incomes above $40,000 per year with special focus on Military active duty personnel from nearby bases. About Navarre Beach, FL Navarre Beach was Florida’s “Best Kept Secret” for years but it isn’t a secret anymore. We have seen tremendous double-digit year over year growth in population and tourism over the last 5 years. In addition to beautiful powder white sandy beaches, we have the longest fishing pier on the Gulf of Mexico, great lodging options with condos and hotels that can fit most budgets as well as RV parks and camp grounds all within 5 miles of the event site and many within walking distance. We have public parking directly adjacent and across from the event venue as well as several hundred additional public parking slots within a 1 mile walk of the venue. Navarre Beach is located within 40 miles of two major airports (Pensacola & Destin-FWB) and on Hwy 98 and 15 miles south of I-10 on Hwy 87. Marketing & Advertising Our strategy for marketing this event will be focused on consumer engagement to promote the event and the sponsors and will include social media, paid digital, print, radio and partnerships with our sponsors using posters, contests and giveaways and onsite promos. Page | 2 Navarre Beach Bash Sponsorship Proposal The Line Up Our headlining act for 2018 will be Confederate Railroad. Confederate Railroad first rolled onto the national country music scene in the early 90s with its unique style and sound. Headed by founder and front man Danny Shirley, the former backup band for both David Allan Coe and Johnny Paycheck got their big break by signing with Atlantic Records. The first single from their debut album ("Confederate Railroad") was "She Took It Like A Man". It went to No. 26, a preview of what was to come. "The next two singles, "Jesus and Mama" and "Queen of Memphis" went to the top of the charts. Three more huge hits followed, "Trashy Women", "When You Leave That Way You Can Never Go Back", and "She Never Cried". "Trashy" would lead to a Grammy nomination and become their signature song. That album with six hits and nearly three million sales brought Confederate the Academy of Country Music's Best New Group Award in 1993 as well as numerous nominations from the Country Music Association and the British Country Music Foundation. The second album, "Notorious", produced one of the group's most popular songs "Daddy Never Was the Cadillac Kind" which became a No. One video as well. "Elvis and Andy" and "Summer in Dixie" would further establish the Railroad as one of the most versatile acts in the business. This album would sell more than one million. Their overall totals are 18 charted hits and five million albums sold. From rowdy country to raw emotion, a Confederate Railroad concert today covers a wide range of feelings. Young people will be there rocking to "Trashy Women", while their parents and even grandparents will likely be singing along to "Jesus and Mama". The band plays 100 or so dates each year. Whatever the venue, they are right at home…be it a fair, a club, or a biker show. Shirley, the lead singer and vocalist, and his mates, Mark Dufresne on drums, Mo Thaxton on bass and vocals, Rusty Hendrix on lead guitar and Joey Recker on keyboards and vocals are obviously having fun right along with their appreciative audience. At the end of each show, the band stays around until every fan who wants an autograph, or to pose with the group for a picture or just say "hello" is taken care of. We are working on additional bookings to complete our line up of 10 musical acts.
