Mission Statement The OHSET Season  OHSET shall be a not for profit corporation dedicated Participation  Practice Begins November 1 to promoting and organizing equestrian competition in  Each District holds 3 Meets between January and high school athletic or activity programs. OHSET has as Athletes may participate in up to April its main goal, recognition in the high schools of the 5 Individual Events and as many  Year End Class Medal Earners, and the Top 10% , equestrian athlete and to give them an opportunity to Team Events as they would like qualify for the State Championship Meet, held in achieve that recognition in a fair, positive, and May educational format. Individual Events  The Top 5 In each Class at the State Championship Barrels Meet qualify to represent OHSET at the Pacific Breakaway Roping North West Invitational Championship, held in June Figure 8 Hunt Seat Equitation Over Fences Not Your Average Show In Hand Individual Flags  Youth Athletes Represent Their High School Key Hole  Individual and Team Classes  Earn Points for Your Team  Year End High Point and Class Champion Awards Seat Equitation  Compete to Participate at the State Championship Showmanship Meet Steer Daubing Meet  Trail  Compete and the PNWIC meet; (OHSET vs. WAHSET) Western Horsemanship  Earn a Varsity Letter from Your High school (most Working Rancher schools eligible)

Team Events Freestyle Drill Large Team 5+ and Working 4’s In Hand Obstacle Relay Athlete Benefits Working Pairs Unlike traditional equine events, OHSET provides Bi-Rangle Team Canadian Flags athletes with recognition in their High School like other Varsity sports. The team environment in OHSET 2-Man Sorting promotes sportsmanship and strengthens athlete’s Versatility connection to their peers and the school. Class variety, and opportunities to try new disciplines increases horsemanship skills and is a great platform to earn a position on a collegiate equestrian Team.
