5 Coupling Types

Type TD

Voith fl uid couplings type TD are constant-fi ll, surface-cooled start-up and damping couplings for direct installation onto the fl ywheel of the diesel engine.

The output is via a splined shaft, a fl exible connect ing coupling or via a cardan shaft. Space requirements are reduced to a min imum. Voith TD fl uid couplings are well suited for vehicle and industrial applications.

6 Type TDM-SAE

Voith fl uid couplings type TDM-SAE are constant-fi ll, surface- cooled start-up and damping couplings for installation to the SAE fl ywheel housing of the diesel engine. They are well suited for accelerating medium-heavy masses.

At the engine side, a wear-free steel diaphragm transmits torque from the diesel engine to the fl uid coupling. At the out- put side, a v-belt pulley, a cardan shaft or a fl exible connecting coupling can be added.

7 Type TDVFM-SAE

Voith fl uid couplings type TDVFM-SAE are based on type TDM-SAE. Owing to an additional delay chamber and centrifugal valves, they are well suited for accelerating heavy masses with high break-away .

At the engine side, a wear-free steel diaphragm transmits torque from the diesel engine to the fl uid coupling. At the out- put side, a v-belt pulley, a cardan shaft or a fl exible connecting coupling can be added.
