She is the most incred- ible person I have ever had in my life, and she supports me no matter what, even though she has no concept of what it is like to be driven to write stories and create comics. She has sat with me at comic conventions with a totally bewildered expression on her face as cosplayers walked by, at other times been totally bored, but when she sees how I come alive she is there for me 1000%. Every once in awhile, she will read one of my books. She loved the previous episode of A Deviant Mind #39: Paranoia. When she set the book down and told me, “Wow. What inspired you to start doing the web series Body Jumpers and Body Jumpers Resurrection?

My inspiration for the show came from a funny place for an initial idea to create a series. You see as I mentioned before I gradu- ated from film school in 2008 and afterwards I did freelance for a few years. But all the while friends that knew me kept saying “Alex, you need to do some- thing, create something.” At first i was hesitant, then one day in 2012 I was sitting in my room talking with my friends and I said “I got it. I wanna do a web series about a female hero who lives in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn and saves people and no one knows that she is a hero. Now not only that, I also want her to be black.” I was sur- prised that my black friends said Superfly etc. So I wanted a Pam in the U.S. – The International she needed to be white otherwise Grier from space that had simil- Euro Film Festival(2015) it would not be “popular”. iar attitude and undertones.
