D2 BUENOS AIRES

This morning, embark on a city tour of Buenos Aires and discover the city’s popular landmarks such as Plaza de Mayo, the political hub of Buenos Aires, and home to Casa Rosada, the city’s iconic pink governmental office of the Argentine president. Next, discover Avenida 9 de Julio, one of the widest avenues in the world. Continue to the other main avenues of Buenos Aires – Avenida Corrientes, known as the entertainment centre, and , which has a strong Spanish influence. Marvel at Puente de la Mujer as you cross the rotating footbridge to reach the shores of Puerto Madero, the most luxurious neighbourhood of the city. Next, visit Plaza Dorrego, an old neighbourhood square famous for its antique market. Continue to the old port of La Boca and the colourful street museum of , where local painters offer their tango paintings for sale and locals sway passionately to the beats of tango on the streets. Thereafter, continue to the famous La Bombonera stadium, home to Diego Maradona’s beloved football club Boca Juniors. After dinner, enjoy a milonga visit and mingle with locals dancing the tango at one of these local tango clubs. You will also have the opportunity to learn the captivating dance from the locals.

D3 BUENOS AIRES - LOS CARDALES - BUENOS AIRES

Enjoy a scenic drive out of Buenos Aires to Estancia Santa Susana, a large private cattle ranch and estate located close to the town of Los Cardales. During the journey, you can enjoy the expansive view of pampas – fertile lowlands of South America. Upon arrival at the ranch, you will see the interesting architecture of this region such as the casco, a Spanish colonial style house which features an authentic museum of the colonial period. Thereafter, enjoy a folklore show with local dances and songs while you feast on an Asado BBQ lunch at the same time.

D4 BUENOS AIRES - EL CALAFATE

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to the south of Argentina, El Calafate, a quaint town widely known as the gateway to various Patagonian national parks. After lunch, you can explore the surroundings at your own leisure. In the evening, enjoy a Patagonia ranch experience at a 17,000-hectare farm located just a few minutes away from El Calafate downtown. Wind down and relax while you enjoy the landscape and a warm welcome by the locals with a traditional mate tea and some typical fried pastries as you learn about the pioneers’ history in an introductory talk. Thereafter, enjoy a scrumptious BBQ lamb dinner before you rest for the night.

D5 EL CALAFATE - LAKE ARGENTINO - EL CALAFATE

This morning, depart early for Punta Bandera Port to begin the excursion on Lake Argentino, the 3rd-largest lake in South America. Part of the lake is located in Los Glaciares National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a sightseeing cruise to Upsala Glacier, the largest continental ice field in surface area, and Spegazzini Glacier, the highest glacier in the national park. Return to El Calafate for your overnight stay.

D6 EL CALAFATE - LAKE ARGENTINA - EL CALAFATE

Today, visit the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the largest and the only advancing glaciers in the world. It is also regarded as the biggest attraction in Los Glaciares National Park with 600,000 hectares of protected area covered by an ice mantle. Upon arrival, you will approach the glacier and admire the different panoramic points of this wonderful sight of nature while walking down catwalks. If you are lucky, you may get the opportunity to marvel at the phenomenon of ice calving, when ice blocks loosen from the glacier and fall into the water accompanied by a thunderous sound. Next, embark on a Safari Nautico navigation tour, in which you will take a sightseeing cruise passing icebergs that have calved off the front of Perito Moreno Glacier. Get ready your cameras as the cruise stop at a safe distance to allow you to admire the spectacular view of the massive icebergs. Return to El Calafate for your overnight stay.

D7 EL CALAFATE - BUENOS AIRES - TIGRE - BUENOS AIRES

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight back to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, transfer to Tigre. En route, pay a visit to the legendary Estadio Monumental stadium, home to the celebrated River Plate football team and the biggest football stadium in the country. Upon arrival in Tigre, enjoy a panoramic catamaran ride and cruise along Parana Delta to admire the beautiful green islands and the leafy vegetation. Return to Buenos Aires for your overnight stay.

D8 BUENOS AIRES

Today, embark on a tour to the north of the city including Recoleta, one of the city’s most glamorous spots. Pay a visit to Recoleta Cemetery, founded in 1822 and one of the oldest cemeteries in Buenos Aires. Many of Argentina’s national heroes and well-known personalities are buried here including the famous Evita Peron. Continue to the district of Palermo, with its beautiful parks and artificial lakes. This trendy neighbourhood has many design boutiques, owned by local young designers, as well as many fashionable cafes and restaurants. Tonight, enjoy a tango show and dinner at one of the famous tango houses in the city.

This morning, discover the 3 iconic architectural buildings in Buenos Aires. Explore Teatro Colon, one of the world's most famous opera houses and the cultural pride of the Portenos. You will enjoy a guided tour of the theatre’s many architectural highlights including the stunning Salon Dorado, where crystal chandeliers and opulent wall decorations create an elegant atmosphere. Next, head to El Ateneo Grand Splendid, one of the biggest bookstores in South America and certainly the most luxurious. Thereafter, visit the famous Cafe Tortoni, one of the most traditional cafes in Buenos Aires and the oldest literati cafe situated along Avenida de Mayo. Later in the day, an Argentine culinary experience awaits you, in which you will get to immerse in a fun and unique experience cooking empanadas and alfajores, and tasting grilled provoleta cheese, wine and last but not least, Argentina’s iconic beverage infusion – mate.
