This Academic Year (2019-20) saw a remarkable growth in the ICFAI University, Sikkim in terms of education, excellence and expansion to various interdisciplinary courses. Interdisciplinary studies have opened up various avenues for students to explore the challenges of evolving business environment. The University provides a platform for students, where they are transformed into market ready professionals. I am extremely happy that the ICFAI University, Sikkim has come up with various ways and means to bridge the gap between the academia and industry. I strongly believe that the University is marching in the right direction of grooming students for holistic development. This report presents every milestone achieved in the academic year 2019-20. It gives me great pleasure to present the Fifteenth Annual Report of The ICFAI University, Sikkim for the year 2019-20. This is in compliance with Section 44 of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Sikkim Act 2004 (Act No. 9 of 2004). The ICFAI University, Sikkim has been achieving greater heights of distinction in delivering quality education. And also playing a catalytic role in the overall growth of education across the North East region of India. The University is privileged to have established the Pranab Mukherjee Chair established at the campus, which will pave the way for educational excellence. The Chair will be promoting sustainable development and research across all cultures and languages. This will also create a support system for innovation and knowledge sharing to improve the quality of life in rural and semi-urban areas of Sikkim and its adjoining places. The constant efforts of the management and the faculty members have enhanced the education standards of the University. I express my sincere gratitude to the management and my colleagues for making this University a great place to learn. Introduction The ICFAI University, Sikkim was established in 2004 with a broad objective of empowering citizens with world class quality education. Since its establishment, the University has lengthened its diversity towards the North-Eastern parts of India. Today, the ICFAI University, Sikkim (IUS) is one of the leading establishments in NE region of India. It was established under Section 4 (2) of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Sikkim Act 2004 (Act No. 9 of 2004) passed by Legislative Assembly of Sikkim. The University is a Member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi and also the Member of Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), London, UK. We are one of the first private universities recognized by the Government of Sikkim and has been playing a major role in dispensing Higher Education in Sikkim. Over the years, IUS have been consistently nurturing and providing skilled professionals to the society at large. The ethos of the University is to empower the youth through education and to transform our youth into efficient and effective citizens. Our hard work is reflected in our ranking in India Today Survey 2018. We are ranked in the top 50 institute in the categories of private institute in Business, IT & Hospitality. The University emphasizes on providing high quality and industry relevant programs in the areas of Management, Humanities & Social Sciences, Commerce, Law, Information Technology, and Hospitality & Tourism Management. The University believes in creating and disseminating knowledge through innovative educational programs, research, consulting and publishing. The University seeks to establish a cadre of professionals with a high level of competence and deep sense of ethics and commitment to the code of professional conduct. 2.
