This year marks a very special occasion, the ten-year anniversary of WARMACHINE, and Privateer Press will be celebrating throughout 2013. Part of this celebration takes place in the pages of No Quarter with the new article series In Battle Forged. This series allows players to experience some of the epic battles that have recently shaped the Iron Kingdoms, with new fiction and a playable scenario designed to delve a bit deeper into these important historical conflicts. The debut article, Patriot’s Crucible, appears in this issue and focuses on the Khadoran siege of Merywyn in 605 AR. As we commemorate ten years of WARMACHINE, we also continue to celebrate the imminent release of HORDES: Gargantuans. In No Quarter #46 we showcase the towering might of the Skorne Mammoth, along with a bevy of other models from the upcoming book. In addition, Forces of Distinction XII features a new Theme Force for Skorne warlock Dominar Rasheth that gives you plenty of opportunities to field your Mammoth(s) to devastating effect. No Quarter #46 also has plenty to offer fans of the Iron Kingdoms Full Metal Fantasy Roleplaying Game. The first article in the new Iron Kingdoms Gazetteer series details the small town of Wexmere, a Cygnaran boom town full of danger, intrigue, and plenty of opportunities for adventure. Monsternomicon & Beyond focuses on the fearsome fauna of the Iron Kingdoms, and Guts & Gears offers of the new Doom Reaver career along with rules on using their terrifying fellblades. In 2012 we had 17 different states in the USA put on events, with lots of new venues taking part alongside many veterans of the initiative. Outside of the United States, it was just as busy as last year, with events reporting in from Canada, Iceland, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Canada deserves special mention for putting on five different events across their country. Thanks everyone for putting on your events. I also loved seeing the relationship between Kitty and Colossus become more serious and intimate in this volume as they truly care about each other and there is a really hot scene between the two lovebirds in this volume! English On Shelf. Whedon brings together plot threads from his entire run into a satisfying, page-turning conclusion that I'm glad I read as a trade paperback instead of having to wait a month or months in between issues to get the full story and scope. The epic space stuff is really awe-inspiring, and the sense of humour on display is simply wonderful. You take what you can get, 'cause it's here, and then This combined with Savior's willingness to sacrifice some of the humans from his own reality is enough for Storm to side with the former captives.

  • BASE SIZES March 2019
® BASE SIZES March 2019 BASE SIZES IN MATCHED PLAY GAMES In Warhammer Age of Sigmar, most distances are measured from one model’s base to another model’s base. In the vast majority of games, the actual size of the base is not terribly important, and you can use bases of whatever size or shape you prefer. The only possible exception to this is matched play games. This is because matched play games are intended to be evenly balanced contests, and in these circumstances having the same model on a different sized base can become an issue. To address this, on the following pages you will find a set of suggested matched play base sizes for all of the models in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar range. Don’t worry – you don’t have to rebase your model if it is not on the suggested base unless you want to (that’s why these are suggested base sizes rather than mandatory ones). If you prefer not to rebase your models, just assume that the model is mounted on a base of the appropriate size when setting the model up, moving it, or measuring any distances in a matched play game. For example, if you are a veteran player using an old unit that is mounted on 25mm square bases instead of the suggested 32mm round bases, you should set the unit up, make any moves, and measure all distances as if they were mounted on the larger 32mm round bases when you play matched play games. Although this may sound a bit complicated, in practice it is actually very easy to do.

FIREFLY 3.10 3.10 Zombies, Reavers, Butchers, and Actuals in Joss Whedon's Work Gerry Canavan For all the standard horror movie monsters Joss Whedon took up in Buffy and Angel-vampires, of course, but also ghosts, demons, werewolves, witches, Frankenstein's monster, the Devil, mummies, haunted puppets, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, the "bad boyfriend," and so on-you'd think there would have been more zombies. In twelve years of television across both series zombies appear in only a handful of episodes. They attack almost as an afterthought at Buffy's drama-laden homecoming party early in Buffy Season 3 ("Dead Man's Party" 3.2); they completely ruin Xander's evening in "The Zeppo" (3.13) later that same season; they patrol Angel's Los Angeles neighborhood in "The Thin Dead Line" (2.14) in Angel Season 2; they stalk the halls of Wolfram & Hart in "Habeas Corpses" (4.8) in Angel Season 4. A single zombie comes back from the dead to work things out with the girlfriend who poisoned him in a subplot in "Provider" (3.12) in Angel Season 3; Adam uses science to reanimate dead bodies to make his lab assistants near the end of Buffy Season 4 ("Primeval" 4.21); zombies guard a fail-safe device in the basement of Wolfram & Hart in "You're Welcome" (3.12) in Angel Season 5.
