With the recent surge, Johnson is now up to 88 career points as a Falcon, placing him third on the active roster behind Kruse and Rauhauser. Last year, the fi nal leg of the season proved to be the high point for Johnson, scoring 14 of his 43 points during the month of March. • Over the course of the season, the Falcons have netted 27 power play goals accounting for nearly 40 percent of the team's scores this season. The Wildcats would then score twice in the fi nal 1:04 of regulation, with goals from Joseph Nardi and Grant Loven, to force the overtime period. • Bookending the series, the Wildcats’ fi rst goal scorer of the weekend, Craighead, earned the game-winner Saturday with a quick slider through the fi ve-hole of Falcons’ netminder in the fi nal minute of overtime. • Once a question of the offensive power this year’s team would bring, all doubts seem to be washed aside as the team’s top two scorers hail from the sophomore class in Griffi n Loughran (21 pts.; 13g-8a) and Vincent de Mey (16 pts.; 9g-7a). The Wildcats’ third-highest goal scorer is Andre Ghantous, a rookie forward out of Glendale, Calif., who boasts eight goals and ranks tied for sixth on the team in total points (11). Over half of the team’s goal total comes off the tape of Loughran, de Mey and Ghantous who have combined for 30 goals this season or 51.7 percent of the team’s total. At the holiday break, Loughran’s 13 goals ranks atop the nation while he is currently second in the country in goals per game, averaging 0.72.
