HAITI DID YOU KNOW? Haiti is one of 19 mostly island nations that participate in the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility program (CCRIF). It is a not- for- profit risk sharing pool formed in 2007. It was created to limit the financial impact of catastrophic hurricanes and earthquakes to Caribbean governments by quickly providing short term liquidity when a policy is triggered. Most recently, the Bahama's Insurance Policy with CCRIF was triggered by Hurricane Dorian.

The other nations belonging to CCRIF are: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Nicaragua (the only Central American Country). To learn more about Haiti, contact: OLGC Parish Haiti Mission Project c/o Rev. Guy Francis Noonan or Committee Members

END OF THE YEAR CHARITABLE DONATIONS Did you know you can use your IRA, appreciated stock, or real estate to make a smart gift to your parish or favorite ministry?

Who’s most likely to benefit from an IRA charitable gift? Individuals aged 70 1⁄ 2 and older who are required to take IRA distributions and do not need the taxable income from that source.

— Gifts must be from your regular IRA - not from Roth IRAs or retirement plans. — Distributions must be made directly from the IRA custodian to a qualified non-profit.

Our parish and all our ministries qualify, including our ministry to Haiti. (For professional advice contact your tax advisor, IRA custodian, or broker.) Thanks very much for your investment in the parish. Fr. Guy

OLGC “Troop Support Project” is in need of donations to mail to our deployed troops serving and protecting us. Please be generous and be sure to purchase small sizes that will fit into backpacks or bags that our troops can carry with them. Food snacks; juice boxes; retractable back scratchers and retractable fly swatters (please look in some catalogs and maybe at Dollar Tree); small puzzles; travel games; puzzle books; coloring books, colored pencils; emery boards. At this time WE DO NOT NEED any toiletries or magazines or books. ABSOLUTELY NO AEROSOL CANS or GLASS of any kind! Thank You! Please place donations in Pod 1.

Technology During Weekend Masses: The Parish is looking for an individual to assist with technology at the weekend Masses. This will be important to enhance our full participation at our Eucharist. Responsibilities would include: Lowering (before Mass) and raising (after Mass) the projector screens on the wall; turning on (before Mass) and turning off (after Mass) three television monitors; (turning on before Mass) (turning off after Mass) sound system button; (turning on before Mass) (turning off after Mass) projector control panel on the wall near sound system button; (turning on before Mass) (turning off after Mass) the accompanist (pianist) light switch; (turning on before Mass) (turning off after Mass) sound system IPad. Advancing the slides during the mysteries of the Rosary (prior to 4:00 PM Mass) and presenting the mysteries of the Rosary for 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM Masses and during each respective Mass with Apple computer keyboard. Advancing the slides during the Mass.

Ideally this person would take more than one Mass, but we could also divide the duties up. A stipend will also be offered if needed. Please contact Rendell James and Father Guy.
