The Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No. 5 of 2016) 2. G.O.Ms. No.26 MA&UD (H) Department, dated 08.02.2016. 3. From the Director of Town and Country Planning, Andhra Pradesh, No.2920/16/P, dated:30.01.2019. & & & O R D E R: The Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No. 5 of 2016) has come into force w.e.f 08.02.2016 by virtue of notification issued in G.O. 2nd read above. 2. In the reference 3rd read above, the Director of Town & Country Planning, AP, Guntur has requested the Government for constitution of Bobbili Urban Development Authority (BUDA), with a jurisdiction of 11 Mandals covering 572 villages and three (03) Urban Local Bodies i.e., Bobbili, Saluru and Parvathipuram Municipalities with an extent of 2247.67 Sq.Kms and population of 7,52,107 as per 2011 census with Head Quarters at Bobbili under Sec. 3 & 4, Chapter-II of Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016. 3. Government after careful examination of the matter have decided to declare the area of 2247.67 Sq. Kms covering three (03) Urban Local Bodies i.e., Bobbili, Saluru and Parvathipuram Municipalities and 572 villages in 11 Mandals in Vizianagaram District as given in notification – I and constitute Bobbili Urban Development Authority (BUDA) with Head Quarter at Bobbili as given in notification – II are appended to this GO. 4. The Urban Development Authority shall function from the office in Bobbili Town with the support of its staff. The expenditure towards establishment and other secretarial assistance shall be completely borne by Bobbili Urban Development Authority (BUDA). Initially, the Urban Development Authority shall be function with the grants of Development fund and Revolving fund. Later, with their own revenue. 5. The modalities for Development of lands, Preparation of Master Plan and Zonal Development plans, Acquisition and disposal of lands, Inspection and penalties etc., shall be followed as per the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No.5 of 2016). 1 6. The appended notification will be published in an Extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated:12.02.2019. 7. The Commissioner of Printing, Stationery and Stores Purchase, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada is requested to supply 10 copies of the Extra- ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette. 8. The Finance (FMU,I&I, EF&MA) Department, Secretariat, Velagapudi Sf/Sc. // FORWARDED :: BY :: ORDER // SECTION OFFICER APPENDIX NOTIFICATION-I In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No.5 of 2016), the Government of Andhra Pradesh having regard to the need for the promotion of development activities relating to as a Urban Development Authority to achieve the objectives of the region witnesses tremendous growth in the domains of Industries, Imports and Exports etc. hereby specify a special Urban Development Area for the area comprised of Bobbili, Saluru and 2 Parvathipuram Municipalities with the jurisdiction covering 572 villages in 11 Mandals in Vizianagaram District with Head Quarters at Vizianagaram and with an extent of 2247.67 Sq. Mts and population of 7,52,107 and villages as specified in the following Annexure to this notification to be an Urban Development Area for the purpose of the said Act and the said Area shall be called as “Bobbili Urban Development Area (BUDA)”. Ph.255767 (O) HISTORY OF DLSA IN VIZIANAGARAM DISTRICT The Parliament has enacted the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 with the primary objective of providing free and competent Legal Services to the weaker sections of the society and to organize Lok Adalats for the purpose of achieving the said goals. Many of the provisions of this Act have been amended in the year 1994. The Legal Services Authorities Act has brought into force with effect from 09­11­1995. An Act to constitute Legal Services Authority to provide free and competent legal services to the weaker sections of this society to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen by reason of economic or other disabilities, and to organize Lok Adalats to secure that the operation of the legal system promotes justice on a basis of equal opportunity. Article 39­A of the Indian Constitution directs the state to provide “free legal aid” and “equal justice” to all the citizen by suitable legislation of schemes. These regulations may be called the National Legal Services Authority (Free and Competent Legal Services) Regulations, 2010. They shall be applicable to Supreme Court Legal Services aCommittee, State Legal Services Authorities, High Court Legal Services Committees, District Legal Services Authorities and Taluk Legal Services Committees in India. They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires, “Act” means the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 (39 of 1987); “Form” means a Form annexed to these Regulations; “front office” means a room in the Legal Services Institution where legal services are made available.
