Radeon™ GPU Analyzer 1.3 - Release Notes Notable Bug Fixes 1. Fixed an issue which prevented live VGPR analysis reports from being generated in SPIR-V mode (https://github.com/GPUOpen-Tools/RGA/issues/14). 2. Fixed an issue where live VGPR analysis report was generated even though --livereg was not mentioned in the command (DX11). 3. Fixed an issue that caused RGA to output incorrect error messages in SPIR-V and OpenGL modes (related to https://github.com/GPUOpen-Tools/RGA/issues/15). 4. Vulkan SPIR-V backend: improvements and stabilization.

Known issues 1. On ® machines that have gfx900 (Vega) or gfx804 (Lexa) GPUs installed, OpenCL™ mode will not function. 2. RGA does not support DirectX® Shader Model 5.1 and above. 3. SPIR-V support limitations: a. The following capabilities, which are defined in the SPIR-V spec, are currently not supported: CapabilityAddresses CapabilityLinkage CapabilityKernel CapabilityVector16 CapabilityFloat16Buffer CapabilityInt64Atomics CapabilityImageBasic CapabilityImageReadWrite CapabilityImageMipmap CapabilityPipes CapabilityDeviceEnqueue CapabilityLiteralSampler CapabilityGenericPointer CapabilityInt8 b. The SPIR-V mode currently only supports the following extensions: SPV_KHR_shader_ballot SPV_KHR_subgroup_vote SPV_AMD_shader_ballot SPV_AMD_shader_trinary_minmax SPV_AMD_shader_explicit_vertex_parameter SPV_AMD_gcn_shader SPV_AMD_gpu_shader_half_float SPV_AMD_texture_gather_bias_lod SPV_AMD_gpu_shader_int16 SPV_KHR_shader_draw_parameters SPV_KHR_16bit_storage SPV_KHR_storage_buffer_storage_class 4. SPIR-V does not support custom entry points. System Requirements - It is generally recommended to use RGA with the latest ™ Software version. Specifically, to target the Vega architecture, the latest Radeon™ Software version is required (except for the Vulkan™ modes, which are independent of the driver). - The Vulkan™ modes (vulkan, vulkan-spv and vulkan-spv-txt) are independent of the installed driver and graphics hardware, and should work on any -based system. - The OpenGL® mode on Linux requires the latest amdgpu-pro driver. - RGA’s DirectX® mode will use the driver that is associated with the primary display adapter, by default. If your primary display adapter is not an AMD GPU, or if you would like RGA to use a driver that is associated with a different display adapter that is installed on your system, then use the --adapters and --set-adapter switches to instruct RGA to use the relevant driver.
