As a registered charity, with a 501 (c) (3) “sister foundation” registered in the United States, The Glenn Gould Foundation enjoys certain privileges and benefits not available to for-profit corporations: the ability to issue tax receipts, eligibility for Foundation grants and government funding, an appeal to the public good. These advantages allow us to leverage associative benefits to the for-profits that sponsor and support us.

At the same time, we bring to the table 30 years of expertise, experience and institutional memory in organizing and executing world-class events that delight and inspire, connected both to Gould and the legendary careers of our Laureates.

The Glenn Gould Prize offers a finely tuned instrument to combine these assets to achieve compelling and beneficial results.
